Camera has a good picture and was easy to install. I did not have the factory plug on my trailer and had to wire it into the marker light, but the cable was included to be able to do that. The monitor was already paired with the camera, so there was no setup to do, plug and play. I have it pointing down to be able to see where the back of the trailer is while backing up, which will keep me from hitting anything. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a quality backup camera.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional quality rear view Camera system

I purchase the Amtifo A7 camera as a rear view camera. The box contained everything needed for my installation, instruction pamphlet, Monitor, rear view Cam and hardware. Product is as advertised.
This system shows to be made as a premium quality product, the Monitor buttons are easy to use, responsive to the touch and the software is intuitive without lagging when settings changes are made on the screen. I found the wifi signal to be strong as the view/picture from the Camera is clear and sharp, showing good color and details.

Other features that I find to be useful with this Camera System's are the capability for expansion with additional cameras, and being able to record when adding a sim card.

I was very surprised with how easy it was to setup and installed!

This is great value for price, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rear view Camera System.

We bought this system for use on a rental travel trailer, as this year the folks we rented from do not provide one. Having gotten their permission, I will put this on the Furrion mount and remove it when we return the RV. I haven't installed it yet but did do some basic RF bench testing to make sure it will work, as we won't have time to get something else if it doesn't. First things first, as seen on a spectrum analyzer, this system operates as a FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread-Spectrum) device much like Bluetooth, at 2.4 MHz. Not sure of the protocol, so can't comment on that. There is an FCC ID number (good!) but I did not get a chance to look it up yet. Once I identified the band it was operating on, I put all three antennas on a network analyzer to see if they were resonant at 2.4 GHz. A properly matched (tuned) antenna will make or break the range of the system. In this case, all three antennas were well-matched, at or very near the center of the band at 2.45 MHz. (see pic) Next up was to determine the range of the system. Powering the receiver at my bench, I set up a mobile cart with a small (7Ah) battery and the camera. The kit comes with plenty of choices and adapters for power. That comes in handy.

(UPDATE: The newer Furrion batwings have a very small TRS (2.5mm?) female power jack and it the included adapter worked as it should.)

So, camera on cart and my phone in front of it displaying the famous "spinning taco" website (for motion, frame drop, freeze-up detection) I rolled the cart around the lab in ever-increasing distances until I could go no further. It's a large building, with lots of walls and such. About the farthest away I could get was maybe 200-250 feet away with plenty of obstructions, but the system stayed linked up and the video was smooth throughout the test. Not a single dropout was detected. I thought that was pretty impressive, especially at this price point. Like all radio-based backup systems, some latency is there - maybe 200 milliseconds, but for this purpose that is fine and should be expected. Every RF-based system I have used has had similar latency. A wired camera is the only way to avoid it. No worries, I'm not filming a drag race, I just want to know what's behind the camper, and back up without hitting things. The image is clear, the setup is easy and the logic of the menu system is pretty obvious, I didn't have to consult the manual. The receiver does not come with a glass-mount suction cup, so I picked one up with a large sticky foot elsewhere on amazon. There is a standard metal U-bracket included for the receiver, which for some permanent installs makes sense.
So that's my review for now - I think it has enough power and sensitivity to work with our 24' rental RV based on my lab testing. Now I can work on prepping the other things that come with pulling a camper half-way across the US. When we get back in a few weeks I should be able to update the review as to how it went. :)

    UPDATE JULY 22, 2024

A 3500+ mile New England camping trip behind us, I can say the system performed very well. Occasionally, maybe once every few days if we were in a very populated area (major city) with likely a very large amount of radio traffic, the system would lose signal for just a couple of seconds. Not surprising when you consider how popular and busy the 2.4 GHz band has become. It was never an issue, the signal returned within a second or two in each case. I chose to set the camera up so the horizon was just visible at the top of the screen, meaning I could no longer see the bumper of the camper, but kept me well aware of the traffic situation behind me. . The camera still has a wide enough angle of view that backing the camper up safely into a campsite was never an issue. Between the additional side mirrors I mounted on my tow vehicle (slightly convex) and this camera system, I had ZERO blind spots and could monitor my environment well enough to change lanes effortlessly at will with no risk of cutting anyone off. For the price this seems a very good system.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for your RV

I first purchased the Amtifo A7 camera for the back of our RV. The mounting and wiring instructions were very clear and it was a breeze to set up. Some RV's come with the Furrion camera mount on the rear of the RV but ours did not. Ours came prewired for a rear view camera so the wires were under a cover that I had to remove.....no problems at all. The Amtifo A7 rear view camera system comes with a very nice 7 inch monitor and it is wireless except for the power cord which I plug into an accessory port on my truck. The camera is wired to the rear marker lights so to use the camera you must be plugged into the RV and have your running lights on. The monitor pairs with the camera automatically. It is truly a plug and play system. I loved the rear view camera so much I also went with the Amtifo license plate mounted back up camera for my truck. It is wired to my back up lights on my truck and makes it simple when hooking to my RV. The monitor for the A7 system will accept up to four cameras so there is no need to mount a different monitor. The picture quality on this Amtifo system is crystal clear and you can view both cameras at the same time with the split screen option on the monitor. I have recommended this camera set up to all of my family and friends and they have had the same results. By the way, the customer service from Amtifo is also 5 stars. If you have any questions, simply contact them and you will receive a reply the same day. I highly recommend Amtifo products and would not hesitate to purchase any of their products. If you are looking for a top quality camera system, look no further.

Just installed the A7 and it is quite the upgrade from previous camera (different brand). Easy to install. Literally plug & play!! I wired it to 12v constant for always on rear view. The monitor is large and very clear in full color. Added bonus, they offer several very useful accessories for the customer to choose from for one free!! Overall very satisfied.
