Definitely recommend. Has great sound. Great handle to carry. Has nice weight. Got 3 year protection plan. Last speaker was a charge 5 and only lasted about 2-3 and no protection plan. Haven’t had it long so leaving 3 stars for that because don’t know how long it lasts as full power. But it’s says 24hrs, but I’m sure that’s from low to medium sound level. We will see how it lasts at full volume. Either way I love this thing. The bass is amazing at high volume just like it says. Definitely satisfied.

A long time ago I bought something called a JBL Kaboom box. With a cd player and a cassette player in it. It had 4 speakers and a subwoofer. It used 12 D batteries and sounded like a room full of speakers.
Well I miss the cd player and the cassette player…
BUT THIS THING is just as good and HALF the size.
Oh yeah
It weighs almost as much and there’s only one wire…the ac plug. The old one had a little panel you could hide the wire in so you don’t lose it…BUT HEY…I’ll zip tie it to the handle !!!
IT AIN’T CHEAP…BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!!

I had the original boom box for years before the battery finally gave out on me so I got the 3 and it’s genuinely incredible how much better the sound is on the 3. I’ll always be willing to spend the big bucks for this good of sound and quality. JBL is definitely the best portable speaker brand out right now!

I was about to return this speaker because I saw there was a new Sony ult field 7 out. I purchased both speakers and after after listening to YouTube reviews. I was sure the Sony would sound better. Boy was I wrong. I received the JBL first and dedicated the entire day of listening to it. Immediately I was impressed. The very next day the Sony came in. When I first listened to it(the Sony) I thought. Maybe the eq is wrong. I tried all the eq settings and lo and behold. It didn’t compare to the JBL. Yes, aesthetically the Sony looks better. It even has lights and you can plug in a mic for karaoke. But the bass just wasn’t there. I’m going to do a YouTube video later today with more details on why the JBL is just better to me.

I have the 2 w-king D-10's, a mega boom 3, and jdl charge 4. The sound on this is worth it. I saved $165 by buying used but new in box. I listen to music in my backyard almost every day. The sound on this is noticably richer than less expensive speakers. I can recommend and you will not regret your purchase. The Koreans electronics are still better than the Chinese for now.

Super expensive but sounds great! I don't regret buying it at all. But it is way more expensive than it needs to be. Battery life lasts about 3 hours when cranked up all the way. The best thing is that you can continue to use it while it is plugged in. It is waterproof and does float. Anytime it gets dirty i just rinse it off. But beware it will continue to drain water out of it for hours so don't set it on a surface that it will ruin after you get it wet. Sound quality is very good. Bass is strong and it is very loud. If I am in the garage with the doors closed you can here it in the street so don't under estimate it. Also you have to use the app to set it up which was kinda of dumb but it does allow you to tweak the sound which was a very nice feature. you will notice though it lags a bit when connecting when you turn it on and when it disconnects when you shut it off which is no big deal but definitely can be improved upon. Over all for a portable speaker system there isn't really anything out there that can touch this for sound quality, durability or how loud it can go while still have clarity. This is probably why JBL charges a serious premium for it. You will also notice it does have some weight to it so it is not something you would want to carry around all day. I also notice it does improve the sound a bit if you leave it plugged in while using it is you are going to listen to it real loud. If you buy it, you wont regret it. I sure don't. I use it very frequently to the dismay of my neighbors

This is a major upgrade from my Bose Mini SoundLink II ???? I'm already impressed and I haven't even gone past 50% volume on the basic equalizer settings yet! Can't wait to strap this bad boy to my kayak for the day ????

It's too bad this doesn't come in blue like the Extreme 3 does. If the BoomBox 4 is released in blue I'm going to be annoyed, even moreso if that won't PartyBox with this 3...
