Excellent Fan With A Few Self Modifications

Purchased this fan for several reasons; 1) Price is great! 2) 12 Volt, 3) Dual Heads with Individual Controls and three speed levels, 4) Brushless Motors. Modifications completed to work for my campervan: 1) Cut the plug off at the end to hardwire into my 12v system, 2) Removed the adhesive stickers as the reviews were not that great and I added a metal plate so the fan could be mounted with a magnet to my ceiling. The noise level is very pleasant on the low setting and ticks up on the medium and high settings. I would love for the seller/manufacturer to post the follwing on this ad; 1) dB level on each setting with one fan on and with two fans on, 2) An option to purchase a wall/ceiling type mount, 3) a hard wire option straight out of the box, 4) Life Exceptancy of the motor, 5) Adjustable automatic shut off timer. Although I just installed this yesterday, I would certainly give this fan a thumbs up. The brushless motor is a huge plus for any type of vehicle use as a brushed motor wears down quickly from the extra vibration and friction related from travel.

The included adhesive did not stick to my painted wood surface, falling off relatively easily. I solved the problem using zip ties with screw holes to attach to wall. There is no way to open up unit to screw base to wall or surface you want to place it on and then close it up after base is attached. That would be an important feature, in my opinion! However, the zip tie work around is effective and does not detract form the unit's appearance.

The fan works well. You must tap the power button several times for it to respond but, once on, it works well, allowing you to adjust the speed of each fan independently. The fans have a powerful stream of air and are more than sufficient for cooling our area. They are quiet as well!

My car's A/C is out so I bought a couple of these in lieu of A/C for a summer time road trip. What a life saver! I paid $20/each unit, but they kept me cool enough they're easily worth double that. Was a 9 day road trip and they held up and still work. Kept us cool with the windows closed most of the time, and even made waiting in touristy areas and their long lines bearable. First I had wanted one of those little swamp coolers for the car but everyone said they don't work. These do though. Good air flow, good price, cord is long enough you can use them in the back seats too. Individual controls are nice too. Met my needs perfectly. When mine eventually go out, I will get more! One weakness is the glue isn't the strongest, so it won't always hold perfectly, but shouldn't damage your dash either!

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered this dual fan. I have been pleasantly surprised with how much air they move. There are three speeds on each fan. They each have their own control. I don't imagine we will use the high speed. It sits on the dash of our motorhome and it moves air for each seat to help with both heat and cold air movement. The only drawback would be they do not swivel 360° but I had read that in the reviews. I would recommend it.

The tape that came on the bottom won’t stick to my dashboard at all, so I need to rig something up so it stays on my dash. My AC is broken in my car and I can’t afford to get it fixed so this was a cheap fix. The fans work great if you can get it to stay on the dash.
