What a wonderful product! Well packaged, easy to follow set up instructions and fantastic video resolution! Finally, we have a piece of mind of seeing in real time what is occurring at our front door. From people to wildlife! It's also great to be able to talk directly to people through this Ring doorbell. Alerts came quickly on my phone when I was alerted to a motion when I was away. Highly recommend!

Had another type similar to Ring, stopped working within months. Other family members and friends have had the Ring for years and recommended the Ring. It cost a bit more than the other one, but, you do get what you pay for! No issues with my Ring, works great and connects to my Alexa!

I live in an apartment and this could have been a problematic purchase since there is no way to prevent it from pointing it at the front doors of two neighbors. Thanks to this units ability to map out incremental spaces that's turned out to be a non-issue. Using it's GPS feature during setup, I was able to mark a space so the unit only "sees" the space between my front door and the edge of the walkway that tenants from 8 units use all day. It is not catching neighbors coming and going, opening doors, or moving around their apartments - it's only catching someone moving in the limited space I was able to set up. Both day and night view in color are good enough to use as defaults. The hardest part, since this model is only on the market for a couple months, was finding a "compatible" mounting case. The key to note is it matches the size of the last generation model perfectly and you can use mounts for that model with this one. I am very happy with this purchase so far. It's doing exactly what I wanted.

Pleased with the Doorbell Pro so far. The battery feature really made it useful since we don't have an existing bell or wiring where we mounted the unit. The only negative I have about the product is that the front cover that protects the battery compartment has a very tiny screw on the underside to keep it in place.
This has to be removed when replacing the battery. And I expect it will be a challenge to not loose it during the battery change out. Why not just put a snap or button to be able to remove the panel?

This new ring video doorbell battery pro is a huge upgrade. I replaced my old ring battery 3 plus and am very happy with this new one. The first thing is the improved camera lens. It’s upgraded from 1080p resolution to 1536p resolution. It also has what ring calls a Low-Light Sight with Color Night Vision which helps reduce the glare and improve the video with little or too much light causing glare from harsh light to hardly any light. It achieves this by HDR automatically balancing over-exposed images, while improved light capture gives you more detail in darker conditions. You also get the Head-to-Toe HD+ Video, Birds Eye view and the 3D Motion Detection with Bird’s Eye Zones. These are great to see an aerial view to see exactly where anyone walked on your property. You also get 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi options to choose from rather than being stuck with only a 2.4 GHz option. All these new features my old ring doorbell lacked and I can see a huge improvement in the video quality even better than their amazing ring floodlight pro cameras. You get preroll, Two-Way Talk with Audio+, and package detection to see when a package was delivered. This is a huge upgrade if you get a lot of packages. I am really impressed with the many upgraded features of this new ring doorbell. If you’re replacing an older ring doorbell this is a must. My only complaints are the fish eye look which takes some getting used to. You can enlarge it and it looks normal, but it does take some getting used to. My other small caveat is the doorbell design itself is looking a little dated. I hope ring comes up with a new and fresh design in a few years. I highly recommend this and it is hands down rings best doorbell to date.

Blurry view DOWNGRADE

I upgraded from the video doorbell 2 in hopes of clearer videos as well as some of the newer features. However, with the latest version, Doorbell Pro, the image is now blurry unless a person is directly in front of the camera/doorbell. Do you want to identify someone with your doorbell camera and are hoping this will allow you to? NOPE, guess again. Not unless they are right in front of it and facing the correct direction. (Which really defeats the purpose)

When using live view, both with and without people, everything except what is directly in front of the doorbell is blurry. Trees blurry, cars blurry, lawn blurry… you get the picture. Well unless you are trying to get the picture from the doorbell.. then you won’t! The color vision at night is a nice additio, but again the person etc. is blurry unless then are right in front of the camera and even then clarity is limited to when they are in front of the doorbell.

For something so expensive, that is a “NEWER” version, you would expect for improved image quality. This now leaves me in a predicament as I planned, and actually did, give my old camera to my parents but given the horrible recordings I am now reconsidering it or will need to find a different camera doorbell. Even if that means going with a different brand. What a huge disappointment and waste of money.

The picture is very clear. I love the look of them. The reason for the three stars, is it would not alert me at all for anything or anyone. I could stand in front of it waving and/or just standing there and it would never let me know. If it did do any notifications, it was a huge delay. I just didn't feel safe with it, when I bought it for the sole purpose of being notified if something is going on. I did speak with technical support and customer service. Wasn't much help.

This was just as advertised. I have 2 of the spotlights and 1 doorbell and they all work exactly as advertised and the set up and installation was easy. I recommend buying an extra battery for any one you buy that is not hard wired. The image quality is good but the motion detention can be a little mind numbing to get exactly right. Very happy with this purchase.
