Great GPS watch for the price
Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2024
For the amount and level of golf that I play, this device is perfect. Quite a few of my colleagues have higher end devices, and I have found that this TecTecTec is every bit as accurate and easy to use. It is easy to set up, finds the courses in no time, and for old senior eyes, easy to read.

So accurate and comfortable! Can’t play golf without my ULT-G

Great aid to have on the course, like my own personal caddy. It was easy to charge and simple to use. The ULT-G has more features than I expected. I love it!

SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND AGGRAVATION
Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2021
Purchased this product 4 or 5 months ago. The first few times I used it, it was great. Yardage was accurate. It is easy to read. Instructions on use OK. Then....all of a sudden the yardage readings were totally off. A 137 yard hole read 669! I wrote to the company, not once, not twice, but at least 3 times. Each time it was suggested that I reboot or manually input a course etc. Each time I struggled to do what I was supposed to do, not even sure I was doing the right thing. Then it would work again--once. Next time out on the course the yardage would be totally inaccurate. It was very aggravating. All of a sudden "the light bulb went off in my head" and I noticed that the real issue appeared to be that there were times when the hole number was incorrect. No wonder when I went to the back nine it made no sense! Anyway, I now check each hole number and advance it or go back and reenter the hole number until I get to the correct one. I am not saying that this is a good thing. My friend has a Golf Buddy that always calculates the hole she is on. All I am saying is that if you purchased this watch and are getting strange readings on a hole, check the hole number displayed and adjust as required. Doing this little thing can save you a whole lot of time. Rebooting and manual entry of courses is time consuming. I wish checking the hole number was a suggestion from tech support. I would have liked this product a lot more if I realized that there was a simple solution to a big problem.

Great GPS Golf Watch
Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2024
I received the TecTecTec ULT-G Golf GPS Watch a couple of days ago and used it on the course for the first time today. It was quick and simple to set up, easy to read on the course, even with the glare of the sun and super easy to access all of the different functions (distance to hole, hazards, bunkers, time, battery level, shot distance, etc.). It's truly a great GPS Golf Watch and I love it.
P. S. You can't beat the price.

I'm buying another one....
Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024
I've had mine now for 3 years. I love it. Retired so I try to get out 2-3 times a week. About a month ago I noticed the battery not lasting that long. Last week it made it to hole 17 then went dead. I brought my charging cord and plugged it into the cart and you can't use it while it's charging. But....I am ordering another as it's been awesome for the last 3 years and very accurate and most importantly it is on the cheaper side. I golf with some who have very expensive color ones and mine is just as good. It even gives you yardages to sand, water and how far to carry over if you want to clear an obstacle. The charging cord is a little difficult.....at first....once you figure it out I have no problem at all. I would highly recommend it!!!

Great product. Checked accuracy with hand held and was right on. Easy to use. Charger is not that hard. Two pins fit in holes and it is all lined up.

NoNoNo on TecTecTec; GPS course location fails within six months; customer service is a hassle
Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2021
I bought a TecTecTec ULT-G Golf GPS Watch in June 2020. I liked it and bought another in October 2020. Within six months, the GPS course location function stopped working on the first watch and then a few months later it stopped working on the other watch. BOTH watches are now useless. Customer service (24 hour response by email) is clearly familiar with this apparent chronic problem.
First they ask you to: "Please reconnect and sync your watch with the phone application again and update the course manually. Also, please check the firmware version of the watch. Please go to Settings>About. After this, you need to reset the watch by pressing and holding the 4 corner buttons. Once you see BOOT, you may let go of the buttons. After that, you will be back on the main screen with the default date and time of Jan 1 12:00. Try connecting to the satellite and see if there are any changes. Make sure that you step outside and able to see the sky when connecting to the satellite. If you continue to have issues with the watch even after updating the course, please let me know and provide us your order ID number for this watch." This rebooting and re-syncing process does not fix the problem.
Next they tell you that they would like to proceed to an exchange of your TecTecTec Golf GPS Watch with another brand new one instead of having it sent for repair. They tell you to: "Please send the watch in complete packaging (charging cable, user's manual, and the box) to: TECTECTEC, 10685-B Hazelhurst Drive, Suite #13324, Houston, TX 77043. Inside the package you're returning; please put a note describing what the problem is so our team who will receive the package will know what's happening. Please do not forget to put this note inside the box, along with the RMA number, before you put it to mail. IMPORTANT NOTE: *THE INFORMATION REQUESTED BELOW MUST BE EMAILED BACK, DO NOT PUT THEM INSIDE THE PACKAGE* Please find below the information you need to email us so that we can process the replacement: 1. Name of the recipient of the new watch. 2. Address to where you can receive the replacement. 3. Phone Number (essential courier requirement). 4. Watch's Serial Number - printed on the front page of the user's manual, starts with TEC. 5. Tracking Number of the defective watch being returned to us (VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION). Please note that there is no need to send the unit back to us via express shipping. (You may use USPS First Class mail, no need to get an insurance and no need for signature upon delivery). We will send out your new watch as soon as you send us a message with the above information and the tracking number of the returned watch.""
Who keeps the box, packaging and manual for a $100 golf watch? Who has time for all of this run-around? I sure don't. I'm going back to reliable old Garmin and forgetting about TecTecTec.

Poor Customer Service
Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2024
Watch is functional, accurate and worth the price - I have two: one for home in PA and one for Fl home. Watch is bulkier than Garmin and charging is somewhat cumbersome. I had difficulty with each purchase and had to get replacements. First purchase: watch rec'd without manual and serial number. Not able to pair, replacement sent. Second purchase: watch was locked in "finding satellites" mode. Customer service was through e-mails with a limited daily time window. Very poor expeince with time lag in attenpting to resolve. I sent the watch back through Amazon and got a replacement that worked.
