I have used Mrs. Wages kosher dill pickle mix for years. This year I found out about Mrs. Wages extra crispy product. Added this to my pickles before sealing. They turned out much better than the ones I made last year without the Mrs. Wages extra crispy. I recommend using both products together for a great kosher dill pickle.

I've been pickling vegetables ever since COVID lockdown, and while they are good, I always felt they are missing a certain something which store bought pickles have. It turns out that something is the tangy wholesome goodness of calcium chloride. It also adds a little extra crunch. I use a bit less than the recommended 1/4 tsp per liter to keep it subtle.
