Who We Are

A family bakery bringing you delicious quality products for over 60 years.

The McKee story began during the height of the Great Depression when young entrepreneur O.D. McKee began selling 5¢ snack cakes from the back of his 1928 Whippet. In 1934, he and his wife, Ruth, bought a small, failing bakery, using the family car as collateral. Money was so tight they had to put up a sheet near the back of the bakery for the family's living quarters.
Despite years of great adversity, O.D. and Ruth's rare determination finally began to pay off in 1960 when they began selling the first family pack of baked goods, naming them after their granddaughter, Debbie. Around this time, the company finally began making a steady profit.
The bakery continued to grow but remained a family bakery. O.D. and Ruth’s sons, Ellsworth and Jack, eventually took leadership positions, and today Ellsworth and Jack's children hold leadership roles.

McKee Foods stands as a living legacy of a young couple with a big dream. O.D. and Ruth shared a strong commitment to family values that remains our company's foundation today.
Brand History

In 1960, McKee Foods founder O.D. McKee was trying to come up with a catchy name for their new family-pack cartons of snack cakes. Thinking of what could be a good fit for the brand, O.D. arrived at the name of his 4-year-old granddaughter Debbie. Inspired by a photo of Debbie in play clothes and her favorite straw hat, he decided to use the name Little Debbie and the image of her on the logo. Not until the first cartons were being printed did Debbie's parents, Ellsworth and Sharon McKee, discover that their daughter was the namesake of the new brand.

I love getting these because they are individually wrapped and easy to grab if you’re on the go and they are oatmeal so they aren’t the worst thing you could snack on! They are easy to put in lunchboxes for school or work! Stay good all day long! Shelf stable for a long time! Delicious! 10/10 recommend

Tickle your tastebuds with this sweet treat for kids of all ages..,2-102….Great with milk, coffee or your favorite beverage…And terrific just as it is without anything else! I served them at a meeting and they were all gone in less than 5 minutes…Leaving smiles in their place!

What fat guy doesn't like Oatmeal Cream Pies?!?! This is a given! Great snack to dull down the sugar cravings. It's healthy for you too, it has oatmeal in it!!! Kidding lol. I've bought these a couple times on Amazon because I was having a sugar craving late night and was too lazy to get out of bed to go to the store. The freshness is alright I guess. They definitely aren't as fresh as the store, but they aren't rock hard either.

If you're greedy consider the larger size

Sweet and creamy.
Too easy to eat too much, and too many at a time.
Especially if you have a large mouth or can open a small mouth wide.
The carton will be gone within... hours

I always buy these normally from Walmart, but now from here! They’re cheaper on here than Walmart. They’re a good size and they’re fresh. You won’t go wrong buying these.

If the apple in the garden of Eden was even half as tempting as a Little Debbie's Oatmeal Creme pie I fully understand Eve's surrender. I wake up every day and stare in the mirror for 5 longing minutes, wondering if the effort it took to get out of bed was worth experiencing the day ahead of me, as the days drag behind me like chains digging into my skin tearing away any semblance of motivation. I've been told antidepressants and/or therapy might be good for me, but I find these to be a suitable alternative. It's a new episode of ecstasy and elation every time I take a bite of one of these, to quote a song by Daniel Caesar, they're my water when I'm stuck in the desert, and the Tylenol I take when my head hurts. Oatmeal creme pies have gotten me through 2 breakups, a abusive parent, and a gambling addiction, anyways yeah they're alright.
