5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good!

Big, meaty hot dogs that do well in my tabletop grill and in the nonstick skillet. I was actually surprised at how tasty they are, and the texture is just right. A little pricey but worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just when I thought I'd never have a tasty veggie hotdog again. These are great!

These veggie hotdogs have an amazingly good flavor and texture. I had tried Loma Linda's other veggie hotdogs and wasn't impressed but these vegan hotdogs are so good! They are great heated up or even straight out of the can. Try them, I think you'll like them.

Tasty Frank's, my dad used to eat these as a kid. He was looking for the nostalgia. Great gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still good after all these years

I was a little disappointed in the fact that there were only six, when usually there eight. But, that is what is happening with all food. High in price, won't be using it as much. But, still a great product. I am vegan and have used this for many years.

1.0 out of 5 stars CURRENTLY product is BAD -- Previously was FABULOUS.

Please read from the bottom up.
Final Update: My last update disappeared. They finally got back to me and admitted there WAS a change to the recipe. They didn't state what they changed but it tastes TERRIBLE to us. Have never heard from them again after feedback. Perhaps others aren't bothered by the change, but it's incredibly distinctive and we considered inedible.

Update #3: late Sept 2018 -- Despite follow-up attempts I have received NO explanation as to the problem and not assurance that it was discovered and resolved. So at this point I'm very disappointed in them and will not purchase this product at this time -- if ever again. A shame as we WERE long-term fans of this product -- as in decades. I broke even as they did refund, but what I really want is the quality product back on the market. They really should recall the bad batch, and make this known to regain trust.

Update #2: After further communication with Atlantic Natural they kindly sent me a refund and are looking into the issue. They said they'd let me know the results of their investigation. So if you received bad product please contact them. Personally I think they should offer a little something for all the hassle and the fact that the product was so bad, but at least I broke even and the company communication was courteous and honorable. To me these were completely inedible.

Update: Atlantic sent me a replacement but unfortunately did NOT pay attention to my request for another lot and sent me the exact same lot. It arrived terribly bashed up (not their fault as it appeared well packaged, but I guess it got exceptionally rough treatment). Between the two issues -- same lot and unsafe seam damage I didn't feel safe to try them or see how the same lot would be different. We have loved this product for decades and are going to hang in and see if Atlantic can get this sorted. Thus far they've been very honorable and I believe they will get it worked out -- so contact them if you have an issue.
Original:
I just received some and they were awful -- best by date of Mar 20, 2021. Company sent me another case, but the date is the same or nearly the same. They claim they did NOT change the recipe but I agree with you something is NOT right. We eat them straight from the can/fridge without putting on ketchup/mustard etc. Both the taste and texture are not right this time. Last batch I got some "gristly-like" clumps in the hotdogs so maybe they tried to fix that (hint to them if they did not). I'll be posting an update after I try the new arrival from the company. They requested I send back cans from the bad case so I'll do that so they can investigate. If these new ones aren't right I'll let folks know how they mitigate or make it right. So far they've been awesome. These are to expensive to get bad ones. Well worth it when they are good!

5.0 out of 5 stars ⭐ THEY STILL TASTE GREAT ⭐
Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2023
I have eaten Loma Linda Linketts for more than 30 years but it had been more than a year since I last purchased them and I was a bit hesitant to buy them again because of all the reviews saying that the taste and texture had changed. But I bought them anyway and I'm glad I did. They still taste great! I really could not tell that they were much different in taste or texture. Loma Linda Linketts have always had a very mild delicious flavor and they've always had a smooth "rubbery" hot dog texture. They taste good right out of the can or you can grill them or fry them in a little bit of oil which is the way I like them best.

I also like to slice up four or five of them and add them to a 28-oz can of Bush's Vegetarian Baked Beans to create a very tasty version of "franks and beans." I heat and stir 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of ketchup, 1 tbsp of molasses, and 1 tsp of liquid smoke together to make a delicious sauce that I add to my "franks and beans." It makes them taste fantastic and I have received a lot of compliments from family and friends who absolutely love them!

Some of the reviews here incorrectly claim that there are only 6 Linketts in these "new" smaller cans. Although these "new" 15-oz cans of Loma Linda Linketts are a bit smaller than they used to be there are still 8 full size Linketts in them as the label clearly states... there's just not as much liquid in the cans now. I highly recommend these "new" Loma Linda Linketts. They still taste great! ????
