I don’t know about you, but lately the honey I’ve been buying at the store hasn’t been the best. Maybe it’s because I usually get the value brand at the store, but even when I got the more pricier brands - it didn’t really hit the same.

A friend got this brand from Amazon and recommended it to me because I value my evening teas and need a sweet and soothing honey for it. After trying it the first time, just taking a spoonful of it - I was blown away at the taste. It’s a this uniquely sweet honey - it doesn’t taste off - it tastes just right. It was such a noticeable difference when added to my tea.

I like the packaging and size for the value too. All-in-all, really great brand and really great taste.

I saw conflicting reviews about this, and thought I'd give my take on it. Tastes great, probably some of the most deep honey flavor I've tasted. It's more akin to farmers market bought honey than store bought. I believe it is real by that comparison, but also for a few other reasons. When adding it to a hot drink it doesn't immediately dissolve like fake or syrup honey, and usually fake honey dissolves quickly in cold water. This one doesn't, and it also does not have the bad lingering after taste of syrups and sugars. Lastly it crystalizes when left in it's plastic container. It says unfiltered, but I'm pretty sure it has to be, to remove some impurities, but leaves pollen in tact. That's a bonus. You can't beat the price, even for trial.

I use honey for sweetener in oatmeal. This is very good and when I crave candy or just something, a teaspoon of honey takes care of the junk food yearning without the added ingredients found in so many different foods. Fair price.

This is a great price for a large bottle of raw honey. It is 32 ounces - a quart of honey. It is raw honey which means that it comes to you straight out of the hive. It has not been filtered or pasteurized. It is great to use as you would any other honey... on biscuits or toast, to sweeten drinks, for baking, all sorts of sauces and marinades, or as a sugar replacement in almost anything.

One of my favorite things to do is to make honey butter. Let some butter sit out on the counter until it is room temperature and nice and soft. Pour in the honey and mix it until the honey is completely incorporated. The ratio is 1/4 - 1/3 honey to butter. So, if you had a cup of butter, you'd use 1/4 - 1/3 cup of honey, but this doesn't need to be exact. When it is all mixed up, pop it back in the fridge where it can stay for up to a month, but you will probably eat it way before then! It is so good on any kind of bread, or popovers, pancakes etc.

I actually buy this honey to make a homemade shampoo. Honey helps maintain ph balance and it is both antibacterial and anti fungal. It can be used in many beauty and skin care products as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Real Deal and Tastes Great! Don't believe everything you read!

So I almost didn't purchase this because of people saying that it isn't real, it has corn syrup in it, it crystallized in the bottle and that is proof it cannot be raw etc etc...

After some quick research I noticed that real unfiltered honey does crystallize and even more so in plastic bottles and esp. in colder weather. The solution is simple: don't use the plastic bottle!

Soon as I got it, I poured it into a similar sized glass bottle that I had recycled from something else that I had bought at the grocery store. Glass is a better container for honey. Plastic is more porous and is prone to this crystallization problem. The reason Nate's doesn't use glass is probably because of all the inNate (tongue in cheek here) problems with shipping glass bottles which inevitably or inNately increases the cost! So if the transport is plastic, just ditch it and pour it into glass and your problems should go away.

As far as the lawsuit goes (which was promptly dismissed from what I've read), I would take it all with a grain of salt! Just because some disgruntled paranoid person sues a company, we should not immediely rush to judgement that they are guilty of something sinister before being proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law! What is wrong with us? We should know better than to assume anything! I like to give people and companies the benefit of the doubt first and foremost. Wouldn't you like to be treated this way as well if accused of something?

Nate's has been in business a long time and has wide distribution and the product is good. Keep up the good work Nate's and thank you for the delicious honey at a reasonable cost esp. in today's economy!

I used about half a cup of this honey to make ice cream, which was otherwise only sweetened by the bananas. It turned out quite sweet. I don't normally eat sugar, so I think I used a bit much. I haven't used it in my coffee or anything else yet, but it looks to be a tasty natural product at a good price.

The size for the price was great, it didn’t hurt my hand to open the lid which is a plus. Quality was superb! After a few weeks it didn’t get that crystallization on the top that can be super annoying. Will order again!
