It’s nicely packaged, and the box is cute. I could see it being a nice gift. The flavor of the mix is good but not great, about what you’d expect from a set like this. Think more “snow cone syrup” than “fresh squeezed fruit juice.”
The only real downside is the thick plastic seals that adorn the bottles of everything. There’s no pull tab or scores area to tear, and I had to cut them open with scissors, which felt dangerous and awkward. Especially beware when opening the salt tubes, because I ended up with salt flung across the room once I finally got the cap off and it sprung open everywhere.
The amount of margarita mix is also a little on the small side. It’s very sweet so it could be diluted with something sparkling, but it doesn’t make very much. The photo has a lot of partially melted ice and a shot of mezcal.
The chili flavored salt tasted like chili, hut the lime flavored salt just tasted like plain salt. It’s nice to have the variety though, and there’s plenty of extra salt to use after you’ve finished the mixes themselves.
Overall I’d recommend this as a fun set, but note that it might be hard to get into the containers.
