Bought a as gift but the bottle came with something spilled on the outside label and on the bottom. Perhaps another bottle next to it broke, but didn’t look nice to give as a gift. Ended up giving it to my son to try out. He will try with friends and will update the review when feedback is received from them.
UPDATED Final review : excellent taste! Great Old Fashioned mixer that can be adjusted to individual tastes. Easy to use and makes hosting much easier. One bottle made enough to serve a group of10 guests thru the night. Will buy again and see if other mixtures are available for purchase as well.
IMPORTANT Side note: the Customer Service from this small business contacted me about the my review re the dirty label -like dried syrup on it. Right up front they just offered a full refund or replacement - my pick - and explained they’re working on packaging thru Amazon. They also threw in a $5 “inconvenience fee”. Plus I already received a 20% discount from my initial purchase. No questions asked. Just real honest and genuine customer care and customer service, both are excellent!! A very rare occurrence for customers nowadays where it’s always a return item in original packaging or item does not qualify for $$ refund only gift card.
Such a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend buying from Bartender’s Secret Sauce!

I was skeptical that a pre-mix was going to make a satisfactory OF, but I thought I'd try it. I did a taste test with a more traditional recipe. It takes a fair amount of stirring to get the booze and mix to combine properly (maybe a gentle shake would be better?), but hands down the best was Bartender's Secret. All the flavors are there and it's dead easy. Much more complex and flavorful than a simple syrup and bitters mix. Try it for yourself. It will surprise you, I think.

This is excellent stuff. The blend of high quality ingredients gives your Old Fashioned a more complex, nuanced and sophisticated taste than your typical one from the bar. You can sit there and contemplate the different hints of aroma and flavor like you would a fine wine.

It is also completely easy to adjust the ratio with the whiskey up or down, to suit the sweetness level and the forwardness of the whiskey, in order to match your personal liking. Even after you have made your initial glass.

Highly recommended. Great value as well.

Opening the bottle took 1/2 hour using every tool I could find. Eventually the glass spout just broke. The flavor itself is enjoyable, though very sweet. The directions are to use 1/4 oz with 2 oz liquor. How much is 1/4 oz? Equals 1/2 tablespoon. Whoa! Way too much for my taste—more like 1/4-1/2 teaspoon. At that rate, even with the loss from the broken bottle, this will last a very long time. Don’t expect to order again.

This is by far the best product I've found that allows me to make the absolute best tasting old fashioned drink with minimal fuss or effort, just a quarter ounce of this stirred into 2 ounces of my favorite bourbon with the red wax seal and poured over a chunky 2" ice cube and mmmm, it's delicious. No fussing around muddling different ingredients or adding garnishes, just pour, stir and enjoy. I've tried other similar products and this one is hands down my favorite. It's priced very reasonably considering you get 32 servings out of the bottle, but you do have to be careful when pouring it out as it is a fairly thick syrup that you can overshoot if not careful. I will be reordering this over and over.

My first review of any product.
The bottle cap had leaked before delivery. Bottle cap was "welded" shut; needing pliers to open. Syrup is VERY thick, like Lisa Douglas's coffee on Green Acres (Yes, I am that OLD!) Maybe air infiltrated the bottle thickening the syrup? Doesn't seem to mix well into drink, leaving cocktail a lot darker than should be. Flavor is OK, but a little sweeter than expected. Not a deal breaker, but not as smooth as Amazon's Lava OF syrup. Just trying different brands, as I have recently developed an OF addiction. Will definitely try other brands as i search for my ideal Old Fashioned elixir.
