Been wanting to explore more flavors of bitters. These are perfect! Made an orange spiced old fashioned batch cocktail that used the cherry and orange bitters. Sooo good!

One year I traveled to visit the Woodford distillery, a wonderful trip. They had a variety of drink recipes and I love to try them. These are great tasting bitters. Good for a gift too, even for yourself.

I haven't used bitters for my mostly gin-based cocktails other than Angostura until now. I tried all 4 options from the Bourbon Bitters Bundle separately on a cocktail made out of bourbon infused gin, egg white and lemon. I added 7 drops per oz of drink every time (I like the use of droppers over "hot sauce" bottle style to have more control on the dashes).
The Orange Bitters enhanced the flavor of the sweet bourbon wood (either from the gin or from the bitter, couldn't tell exactly). A distinctive orange flavor came up after a long finish when lemon, spices and wood faded away.
The Spiced Cherry Bitters went the opposite direction by enhancing the lemon juice and making the drink surprisingly refreshing.
Just by rubbing my hands with a few drops of the Chocolate Bitters I knew that it was not going to be a good fit for my cocktail. Strong chocolate flavor was not the right addition although the aroma is very pleasant. Still enjoying it coming from my hands as I type in these words!. Because of my drink profile I'd give the Chocolate Bitter the benefit of the doubt until I find a better suitor.
Finally, I'm not quite sure what the Aromatic Bitters are good for. Although didn't make any impact on my drink, it actually made more sense when I put half a dropper in 4oz of Club Soda and took it as a digestif after dinner (and after tasting all the previous bitters!).

My husband and I love a good old fashioned. Adding these bitters to our collection makes for good variations. Quality bitters.

Based on what you’ll generally be paying for decent bitters, these were top notch. I enjoy old fashioned’s and Manhattans. For those two particular drinks these provide excellent flavor without cloying sweetness (which I find cheaper bitters have). Natural intensity of flavor without overpowering the alcohol.

I personally like to combine the aromatic and orange bitters for either an old fashioned or a Manhattan and I also like to combine the chocolate and cherry for an old fashioned or the aromatic and cherry for a Manhattan. Those are the flavor combos I like best.

I’d recommend 1 dropper full per 2 oz of alcohol to start and then add/subtract for your taste. The chocolate bitters are probably a slightly stronger flavor profile if you aren’t used to it so a half dropper full may be a better starting point for those.

I use 1 dropper of cherry and 1 dropper full of chocolate for a 2 oz old fashioned. Averaging about 4-5 drink per week these will last at least 6 months or more.
