This is our signature product after which the company is named. It is spicy,spreadable salami originating from Calabria.
"Nduja" is spreadable like butter. Spicy, Tangy and Delicious.
"Nduja" is a very versatile salami. It can be rendered and uses to make mayonnaise or vinaigrette. A dollop can add incredible umami flavor.
Product is shelf stable. Refrigerate after opening.Pork, Peppers and sea salt.... Delicious simplicity.

I liked nduja egg toast by pasta grammar

The taste grows on you, so give it a try multiple times. I can't quite describe the taste of this product. my mom thinks it tastes like spicy salami. I don't. It has a nutty or earthy taste to me. I like it, but it was very different than what I was expecting which was more of a salami taste. I like it, but it probably isn't for everyone. The quality of the product was good. Do a search for Nduja egg toast by pasta grammar for a great recipe that I really enjoyed for frying an egg in nduja instead of butter. Really enhanced the flavor of the nduja.

I write this review as an individual born and raised in the Mediterranean and now finding himself in the US as an adult migrant. I routinely work in Italy as part of my research and I have grown accustomed to finding Nduja at cheap prices with wonderful flavor.

Over these past months, I have searched for a US based seller since this country refuses us the right to bring back pork products. While I admittedly find the price to be high (remember I am accustomed to purchasing this in my local supermarket with no problem), I think this US-made product parallels the Italian original. You get two packages of deliciously hot Nduja that can make countless pasta dishes and numerous impulsive snacks.

I'd say that aside from the casing used (the original Nduja is stored in stomachs) and the price, you get about 1 pound of a great product. The flavor is right and these guys seem to be the only worthwhile makers of a wonderful Calabrian culinary heritage. I'm satisfied overall.

I've only recently heard of spreadable salami and this is my first time trying it, so I cannot tell you how authentic it is. It spreads nicely and tastes very good. It has a bit of a kick, but not overly spicy. It's a bit on the pricey side, and I don't eat a lot of salami so this won't be a regular staple in my home, but I would definately buy it again.

What a different, fun, interesting food. Nduja is new to us and we very much enjoyed it and will
be sharing part of our order with friends and family. I can see continuing to incorporate
it into appetizers, homemade pizza, and as a "mystery undertone layer" ingredient to some
of our dishes. It really adds depth and richness to the overall flavor of a meal.

We did call the makers about best storage practices and expiration
and was told the following:

- Try to keep the original casing as complete as possible and use it to wrap the open end
- Scoop out or slice only what is needed
- Keep airtight with plastic wrap or some other type of sealer; there may be some darkening of air-exposed product as it oxidizes,
this not a concern and the product will still be good.
- Refrigerate
- Lifespan/expiration, 6 months or so

Just not good. Has a weird aroma and taste. It has a fake after taste. I can't explain it. It goes in the bin. No return policy

I have ordered this several times in the past and they have always been 6 oz in weight. This still advertises as 6 oz, but the package in fine print says net wt 4.5 oz. Misleading advertising.

Great quality and amazing with pasta

Only recently found out about nduja from YouTube cooking channel pasta grammer. I used tempest's nduja in a pasta recipe that turned out amazingly well. I'm sure the Calabrian version is worlds better but ignorance is bliss in my case. Highly recommend.
Also, the package arrived in perfect shape.
