  2. How did we get our start?

    Founder Michael Pan discovered this snack while visiting his extended family in Malaysia. His family are vegetarian, and he was surprised with the taste and texture of this snack. He knew he had something special to share with the world.

    What makes our products unique?

    Pan's uses shiitake mushrooms which are known for their meaty, fibrous texture and delicious umami flavor, which makes them a satisfying jerky snack.

    I like this a lot. Better the. Other mushroom jerkys I've tried. I like the avocado oil, it's chewy but not dry. The Applewood bbq is good too.

    Brought this product because I saw it on Shark Tank and the sharks raved about how good it was. the product is very dry and hard to chew and oily in addition it does not taste good. I do not recommend this product. Unfortunately I cannot get my money back.

    Clearly by the reviews you either love it or hate it. I love it!!! I really like mushrooms in general tho so that probably helps. Other than the added sugar it is super healthy snack made from real ingredients that fills you up. Personally I want to eat less meat, so this is perfect for me. Give it a try and see if it’s for you.

    OK - well I thought my beef jerky at my local supermarket was expensive, until I bought these! I know, I should have read the listing better on Amazon, but I did not...

    I bought these because I turn to SharkTank ever so often when I end the news and need something to watch for 30 mins or so... During an episode, they had a 3 minute summary this product and the seller and how much money he had made along with his Shark. The video showed it being manufactured by smiling people in a great place... And, that, is when I saw the (larger) packets of mushroom jerky falling off the end of a conveyer belt. I will say those packages looked WAY bigger than what showed up on my doorstep.

    So - buyer beware - these things are tiny.

    They are pretty good though. There was no option for me to purchase a 3 pack of three different flavors, so I purchased the Teriyaki. Much more chewy (good) than I thought mushrooms could be. I am not vegan. I love steak, at least once a week. But these were pretty good. Just a terrible value - in my mind.

    I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I prefer these over beef jerky. The flavor I like best is the zesty thai, perhaps the only flavor I like and the only other I tried is the teriyaki.

    I was very excited to buy this after trying some that my friend shared with me. She bought at at Costco when the company Pan's came to the Kirkland Costco to showcase the product. Her package was larger. First of all, I didn't realize HOW small the package that was sold on Amazon was compared to my friend's. I got a 3-pack and each pack is 2.2 oz or 62g. I thought it was such a waste of packaging material just to put a few pieces of dried mushroom in.

    Secondly, it was almost ALL stems and no caps. That was not the case with the Costco package. I definite had some caps. But from those Amazon small packages, all stems.

    In short, I felt cheated for the $ that I paid.

    Feedback for Pan's - honest business brings return business. I am not going to buy this again. A mushroom has equal amount of caps and stems, so put a whole mushroom in your products. And you shouldn't showcase something that is different from what you sell in other channels with exactly the same name and packaging.

    As other reviewers have said; you love it or hate it. I hated this. I was excited to receive the jerky as i love mushrooms. Both taste and texture were horrible. Do not recommend.
