I’ve been using Monk Fruit In The Raw Sweetener for a while now, and it’s been a game changer, especially for keeping my sugar intake low without sacrificing sweetness. Very sugar-like

First, I'll say I am NOT a fan of artificial sweeteners. But I've been trying to watch my calories, so I decided to give this a try.

It's very much the texture of sugar, very crystalized, and I don't notice any unpleasant aftertaste, which is usually what I hate about artificial sweeteners. Even Stevia has an awful aftertaste to me, so I was pleasantly surprised with this.

I haven't baked with it yet, but I do use it to sweeten my Greek yogurt and fruit bowl, and it works great for that. I also tried it in my coffee, and it was good. That was just an experiment, though, because I usually drink my coffee unsweetened anyway.

I'm giving four stars instead of five because it seems a little pricey. I found a larger bag of it (not this brand, but the same mix of monk fruit and whatever the sugar alcohol that's used) for a little less in a local grocery store.

This is a great all-natural sweetener that has not been processed to death causing a chemical change. Just use it as you would sugar. May be a bit sweeter so sample for taste. I do recommend for others to purchase.

Doesn't make me sick

I have severe allergies to most things. Fake sugar, sugar alternatives, whatever you call them, I'm allergic. Sucralose, aspartame, all of them. They give me intense stomach pain and brain fog. I have learned to avoid them but my doctor wanted me to try to give up what little sugar I take in everyday as part of a way to lose a little weight.

I'd never had this one before and was prepared to be able to strike it from my safe list. Happily that isn't the case at all.

The bag is small but since I only add about a teaspoon or less to a cup of coffee, I don't mind. It's actually a plus for me that it isn't a big bag or can or whatever since I would have trouble storing it. My kitchen is super tiny and space is at a premium. This I can tuck into a drawer with no Herculean effort needed.

It zips shut and closes tightly. I appreciate that so much. No clip needed. That saves me from dropping it. I always drop the clip. And usually it ends up somewhere impossible to reach like that narrow slice of space I have between a cabinet and the stove. My stove is gas and I am terribly freaked out about moving the stove. I imagine explosions and fire trucks and firemen and not in a good way.

Taste is so far fairly undetectable. I've tried it in coffee, iced tea, and a cup of lemonade. I can't find an aftertaste. It's simply sugar to my mouth.

Price is high. What isn't these days? I surely couldn't afford to eat this in food stuff everyday. I don't bake often and I don't like sweets so this is okay but if it were a lower price I would be tempted to make a cake or a few cupcakes. I can't afford that so I can't really help there.

Do I like it enough to buy it again? Yes. This bag will last me probably two months or more and I like it enough to keep it in the house.

I usually like the monk fruit granules. But these are the monk fruit raw and I found that they have an after taste. I did not like them at all. I bought them because they came in little packets that would be easier to travel around with me. I'll stick with the granules.
