These dates are delicious. And, as a nice little plus, you can remove the pits, fill the dates with a yummy, healthy nut butter (my family loves maple almond and cashew butters), and now the filled dates are so filling and rich, they actually make a fantastic dessert! A HEALTHY dessert! As a little indulgence, drizzle a little artisanal chocolate sauce over them, and make your kids forget about junk food.
So you know, you can buy nut butter-filled dates pre-made and packaged, which I've done, and they were good, but pricey. But freshly assembling them yourself means they're so much better. Try it!
