    I bought a can of this for a 5 day camping trip we took out to a very remote part of the Northern California coast this last summer. As there were no facilities within a 2 hour drive, resupply was out of the question and we knew by the end of 5 days, having ice still left in our cooler to keep raw meat cold was questionable.

    Therefore, I got this to make some 'Cowbow Stew' for dinner on our last night. For what it is, it is a great product. The flavor is good, especially considering it came out of a can. Fresh beef of course would be better, but I was pleasantly surprised how good this tasted in the stew we made.

    Another bonus was that it came in large, stew sized chunks, instead of shredded, which was what I was expecting based on the pictures. This made it even better for making stew. It also has minimal ingredients and is gluten free so it's perfect if you are preparing it for people with dietary restrictions, like I was.

    As far as flavor goes, I would give it probably a 3.5-4 star review - but considering it has the convenience coming out of a can, and therefore does not need refrigeration, it gets a 5 star rating. I will definitely be getting this again next time we want to make some beef stew on one of our camping trips!

    These cans are much smaller than expected but that’s why they are so inexpensive I suppose. Bought for long term emergency supplies so haven’t opened them yet.

    Can is very small, maybe good enough for a small meal. Very expensive for the quantity. Can arrived dented but not punctured bur I kept it because I don't think the meat is affected. Will not order again.
