This light malt extract worked perfect for making agar plates. Fast growth and very easy inoculation into liquid culture or grain spawn once the mycelium grows out a bit. Since this is made from grain, the mycelium takes to grain spawn a lot faster than other agar methods I've used. You can also use this product to make liquid culture, so it's a 2 for 1. I highly recommend this product.
Make sure you store it in a cool dry place. I poured mine into an airtight Rubbermaid container and I haven't had an issue with humidity or contaminates getting into my malt extract.
