About this item

✔️ They were professionally packaged in a resealable bag for easier access and storage, to keep quality and freshness. They should be kept in cool and dry conditions between 0 -10 CO.
Our bitter apricot kernels are certified as organic according to EU and NOP/USDA standards by Bio.inspecta. They are processed in a BRC-certified facility. They don’t contain any chemicals or herbicides. SAREKS Organic Bitter Apricot Seeds are vegan, gluten-free, sun-dried, and not pasteurized.
✔️ Our organic apricot kernels come from Turkey. Turkey is known to have one of the high-quality apricot kernels found in the world. Our bitter apricot kernels are specially and organically grown in Turkey. We are always looking for the best and most fresh product there is for you.
✔️ Amygdalin B17 is most notably found in bitter apricot seeds & kernels. They have not been cooked, so they retain their full nutritional value. Apricot kernels are a great source of Vitamin B17 & B15.
✔️ You can eat the apricot seeds raw, but the bitterness is the nature of bitter apricot kernels, it has a numbing taste. You can also grind the organic apricot kernels and use it in salad dressings, or you can mix other nuts to disguise the taste.

I bought these for making almond extract. Well packaged and at a good price. After 3 months, my extract smells amazing and I can't wait to use it in my baking. I am keeping the kernels to eat, though I don't know if the health benefits are negated after they have been soaking in alcohol for 3 months.

For those who are confused. Yes, you can use bitter apricot kernels to make almond extract.
Blanch the kernels, then remove the skins. Put 1 cup of apricot kernels in a bottle and add 1 cup of alcohol, preferably vodka or rum 70-100 proof. Let it soak for 3 months. Remove the apricot kernels and there you go.

If you suffer from Gerd, and have a very sensitive stomach, these seeds are a no no.
I had a very upset stomach after taking just 2 of them( they are small size) per day for 2 days. It took me a week to normalize the acidity after I stopped taking them.
