5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for making yeast starters

I use this to make yeast starters when making beer. Mix some up with water to make a OG of 1.035. Boil it, add it to a sanitized flask and throw it on a stir plate if you have it. Good quality, good price.

I don't know if it is light or as advertised but its light in color and if it is what it says it is then it'll work for starters. I precan a starter for my yeast with a measured amount and a bit of water fermax and then pressure can it. Shelf stable and then add water to 1000ML and there you have a starter to grow your yeast.

A little pricey. I mean come on people. It is just malt extract not gold. Stop the get rich quick concept.

I bought this as a nutrition source to be used with agar testing and it works great when mixed properly. I'll be able to use this supply for a while and will purchase again in the future. Highly recommended.

I've never tried malt extract before but this seems fine and I don't make beer but added some to my mocha and it tastes good.

I add an extra pound of dry malt to my beer, to push up density of the wort and let me add a little more water as I measure the original gravity of the liquid before adding yeast. I get a half dozen more bottles of beer this way.
