    So My mom grew up eating these and they have been a family favorite for many years. I'm not sure of everyone else's preference on eating Tinder Bits but my families preference is to coat them in flour and fry them in a pan with butter flavored crisco and dip them in garlic butter.

    I love the product. I've been eating it since I was a child. Opening up my box to pull out the glorious vegan delights, my cans were sacked.
    Every one of them bent out of shape.

    This is one of the cleaner vegetarian meat substitutes, in that it has less chemicals and preservatives that are dangerous to our health

    I grew up eating these and they are as good now as they were then. I use them in stir fry. Cut up in soups and have been known to eat them right out of the can. Highly recommend giving them a try.

    I love the “Skallops” in the green can, but figured I’d try these for a change. That was a mistake.

    The good: pieces are more regular sized little patties than the Skallops’ weird shapes.

    The bad: the texture is a lot more mushy—like a grainy/mushy ‘breading’ surrounding a slightly more chewy inside. Skallops are chewy all the way through. I think these are also saltier, which isn’t needed. Maybe I need to fry them, which is not something I like to do, but in soup/stews they just aren’t as good.

    YMMV, but it’s back to Skallops for me!
