5.0 out of 5 stars Great taste!

Being in my 30’s has brought me much wisdom and still just slightly less ability to say no to tequila shots people send to your table. With that being said, hungovers in your 30s feel like being hit by a Mack truck and have the audacity to linger like they pay the light bill. My niece suggested pedialyte in Vegas and it worked so well I decided to add it to my arsenal just to have around at home. It also came in handy to keep us alive when we got the rona (water and pedialyte together are so important to survival!). Tastes like blue icee and a little bit of windex which could just be from the atrocious unnecessary metal seal, but it works and we survived the chemicals in 90’s junk food so it should be fine. My only qualm is that you literally need welders gloves, pliers and a vice grip to remove the metal roofing style seal around the top. I’ve never imagined a more terrible scenario than being about as strong as wet noodle while being hung over or sick and having to wrestle a sharp metal seal off of a life saving fluid. The temptation to rip it off with your teeth is flung into the gutter when the entire seal is metal and you’ll see Jesus if you try that- so here I am miserable with a bowl of jello for a brain - literal vice grip pliers and a meat hook trying to give all of my strength to pry this treacherous seal off so I don’t cut myself taking a sip or drink any shards and die- I lost three finger nails and part of my finger print in this process. The first three bottles slices my hands up like I was in a jail fight with wolverines and the two following I just stabbed a straw through ended up being poured out because the straw just punched a piece of the metal into the liquid and feeling like my head was gonna blow- I wasn’t trying to bob for shards. Bottom line is- please don’t seal them with dangerous industrial strength supplies that likely leech chemicals into your product- with zero pull tab options. It takes you 20 minutes to attempt to open it and it almost feels like being in a SAW movie. I mean it’s a sports drink it’s not an 08 4 lokos- who are you truly needing to protect this ferociously?

These are a great value for the money and they taste great! I drink pedialyte all year, sick or not. It’s my go to drink for hydration and tastes great when mixed with seltzer. Definitely buy this, plus it saves you a trip the store and it usually comes same day delivery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Got me feeling mentally and physically better almost immediately

This review is for the Berry Frost flavor. Unlike some other reviewers, I quite like the taste of it. I happen to find it pretty mild in flavor and enjoy it, but I'm not particularly sensitive to sucralose or salt. It is incredibly easy to drink, being very "smooth" in how it goes down without any abrasive texture or flavor (to me). I'm not able to guzzle many liquids, but I can quickly drain a bottle of this.

I gave this a try because I'm habitually dehydrated. Yep, habitually. I don't strive for dehydration, but I just can't get into the habit of drinking a lot of fluids. Living in arid southern Arizona dries me out without me really realizing it because sweat doesn't tend to be that noticeable as it evaporates so quickly. So, I thought that I'd see if this did anything for me.

It does! I drank a one-liter bottle the night that the four-pack arrived, and I felt significantly more alert and physically better than I had felt in a long time. I drank one bottle every day for the next three days, and it definitely had a positive affect on my mental and physical states. Instead of feeling mentally drained and worn out in the afternoon, I kept going strong. Was it the water or the electrolytes, or both? I can't say. I can only say that this makes me feel a lot better.

What I don't love about it is the price of ~$5 a liter. I'm not saying that's not a fair price, as I don't really know...but it's more than I'm willing to spend every day. Yet. I'm heading to a local Target today to try some Gatorade G2 (lower calorie Gatorade) to see if it helps me out as much, considering that it's a lot cheaper. G2 is similar in calories and carbs to this AdvancedCare+, but it does have significantly lower levels of electrolytes. For every eight ounces, AdvancedCare+ has 15 calories, 4g of carbs, 330mg of sodium, and 180mg of potassium. By comparison, eight ounces of G2 has 20 calories, about 4.5g of carbs, but only 107mg of sodium (33%) and 30mg of potassium (17%). If G2, or perhaps some other "sports" drink helps me out as much as this, then I'll pass on this unless/until the price drops. However, if they don't help me feel as good as this does, I just might pony up the cash. $5/day isn't super cheap, but it's actually not that bad in comparison to what I already spend on food and drink (including beer...).

So, while I will look to see if less expensive products work as well, I can say with certainly that this product did work for me. Outside of price, I absolutely recommend it.

I sweat a lot and I run 4 times a week. By "sweat a lot" I mean I'm usually starting to sweat before I hit the end of the block, and after 3-4 miles in higher humidity, I look like I jumped in a pool kind of "sweat a lot."

Before I discovered this version of Pedialyte, long runs (in the summer especially) would always be extremely taxing, as I'd easily get dehydrated and deplete my electrolyes.

I've found that using this as a post-run recovery drink has helped me immensely physically and mentally following a long run or hard workout. It acts fast and replenishes my electrolytes and helps me avoid dehydration. Helps to curb the post long-run blues you get from dehydration.

I've also used it in my handheld water bottle while working out. It's got a lot of sodium, so drinking it straight up made my mouth dry. I cut it about 50/50 with water, which helps for in-run hydration too.

The flavor isn't bad; I much prefer it to the original purple-colored Pedialyte. Imagine a watered down blue Gatorade, with less of the sugary taste. Tastes less "mediciney", if that makes sense, compared to the purple Pedialyte. I always refrigerate it and drink it with ice, as this stuff at room temperature isn't the best in my opinion.

The price on Amazon can't be beat, and I've frequently found it with a coupon. It arrives in a cube box of 4 bottles.
