Edamame Toast
SAVORY ITALIAN
  • Pesto
  • Cherry or grape tomatoes
  • Radish slices
  • Pine nuts
  • Basil leaves
  • Balsamic vinegar
SWEET STRAWBERRY

  • Strawberries
  • Walnuts
  • Chia seeds
  • Mint leaves
  • Sprouts
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Cracked black pepper

EDAMAME TOFU TOAST

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 package Mori-Nu Edamame Flavored Silken Tofu, Firm (refrigerate remaining tofu)
  • Choice of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sauces, and spices (see recommendations right)

PREPARATION:

  1. Toast bread to preference.
  2. With a fork, smash and spread tofu onto each slice of toast, dividing the tofu evenly between the 2 slices.
  3. On one slice, layer the ingredients from the SAVORY ITALIAN list.
  4. On the other slice, layer the ingredients from the SWEET STRAWBERRY list.
  5. Serve immediately with a fork and knife!

SWEET GARLIC WASABI DRESSING

STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE

MOCHA MOUSSE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2-1/2 cups Mori-Nu Silken Tofu - Firm, mashed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp. freeze-dried instant coffee granules
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

PREPARATION:

Put all ingredients into a food processor; blend until very smooth and creamy. Spoon about 1/3 cup of the mixture into 6 small individual dessert cups. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

SWEET GARLIC WASABI DRESSING

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 package Mori-Nu Silken Tofu – Soft
  • 2 Tbsp. soy mayonnaise
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. agave nectar
  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. wasabi powder
  • 1 tsp. Himalayan salt

PREPARATION:

Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 package Mori-Nu Silken Tofu – Soft, Lite Firm, Firm, or Organic
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 1 10 oz. package frozen, sweetened strawberries, partially thawed, including liquid
  • 1 tsp of sugar (optional)

PREPARATION:

In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients. Whip until smooth. Serve chilled.

We are never without mori Nu in our pantry.

Makes great salads, salad dressings, sauces, vegan puddings, etc. etc. …. and we mix it with liquid Just Egg to make even more delicious scrambled “eggs”.

Possibilities almost endless.

For the most part, I use this tofu/tubu for soon dubu jjigae. It's just right for one serving.

Thankfully, there is no taste, something that detracts from American brands of tofu. There is an expiration date marked on the package, but I've never had a problem. These packages are sealed well and it seems that the tofu is as fresh as when it was put in the package.

I like the fast delivery and the soft smooth tofu. It arrived nicely packed without any damage. But the expiration date is in December 2024 seems short. Would buy again hope to have longer expiration date.

I needed tofu and wasn’t able to go to the store. Found this on Amazon. Pricey for sure and short expiration date. Tofu didn’t come out looking like the video. Mine wasn’t a nice whole piece as shown in the video. One end was smashed with tiny pieces. Disappointed about that! One end of the box was smashed - crushed in shipping without protection at all. The box doesn’t say whether it’s soft or firm texture. If anything, I got to eat tofu.

It's been hard to find organic tofu in Central Florida, so I was glad to find it on Amazon. I have heard that buying organic, non GMO, is very important for all soy products, esp. tofu. Some of soy's bad reputation is the gmo, non organic that exposes you to undesirable hormones and chemicals. So, happy to have found this. I received it June 1st, and it expires in October, so good to know for planning. I like the creaminess of this silken tofu!

I bought the three pack and it turned out to be pricey (approx.$6 per one 12 oz package of tofu.) Tetrapak tofu is supposed to have a 1-year expiration. These three package of tofu do not. I've had tetrapak soy products that have gone bad before and it is a very smelly.

I'm guessing that New Mall or Amazon may store this product near the detergent/cleaning supplies section because all three packages of tofu smell like soap and cleaning chemicals. I won't be buying this again.
