The hunt for the perfect prunes is over! Perfectly natural and perfect taste and NO ARTIFICIAL ANYTHING as well as no oil coating for a fake softness! It's just pure fruit dehydrated to perfection. You won't look back after tasting these. And the name Looney Pruney is so cute even your kids will want them and why not? They are an all-natural sweet treat that is good for you but don't tell them that lol. Enjoy and then reorder.

I started down my Looney Pruney snacking path after a diagnosis of osteoporosis. A legitimate study performed on rats showed that these soft, squishy, sweet and tasty prunes can actually help to improve bone health in the rats from the study. When I read the study, I ran right out and got some prunes from the local discount grocery. This wasn't the best of ideas since the prunes were kind of tough, with a thick skin and I was basically forcing them down. I wanted to try other brands and there was one where the prunes were individually wrapped. These were much better but I was running low and decided to order from Amazon. When I searched for dried pitted prunes, Looney Pruney came up. They carry both regular and organic. Since the suggested amount is 5 a day I thought it best to get the organic ones. Well.... Looney Pruney Prunes are delicious!. They are soft, squishy, sticky, gooey blobs of flavor. These are the very best prunes I have tried. They even made their packaging silly and cute. I know some people eat prunes for regularity. I haven't noticed any change since I have been eating 5 a day for over a month now but I would consider myself "regular" to begin with. The other thing I found was these little prunes help to satisfy your sweet tooth helping you avoid making a bad decision with some sort of unhealthy option. These prunes are mechanically de-pitted so there is the potential for a pit or part of a pit to be inside. So far, I haven't gotten any but I am still always careful when eating them. If you want prunes for whatever reason you should try these, you won't be disappointed.

I love these guys. I'm a candy fanatic but haven't had any in years because of knowing how bad sugar is for you. (sadly I am aware of this. I miss candy and the ignorance of consuming it regularly!)

Prunes are a delicious stand in for gummy candy. Obviously not the same, but the longer you go without gummy candy and eat prunes instead, you'll find you start to crave them like candy. (plus, it doesn't make me feel awful after eating a ton of sugar and artificial flavors and colors.)

I also love that these are organic, grown in the US (California), and appears to be from a family farm.

Only minor complaint is that they tend to come all squashed together, but they are still very easy to separate. I'd take having them squashed together like this versus having some chemical added that allows them to come separated.

I highly recommend Looney Pruneys!

It is difficult to find organic prunes locally. These are fresh and a good value for the money.
