Great Organic Lime Powder and not Lime Juice Powder

It is a Lime powder and NOT Lime Juice Powder that I initially thought we were buying.

Once we received it, have been using it to make Limeade, flavor water and to substitute for lemon/lime juice in various recipes.

If you taste the power directly, It has a slight bitter taste at the end. Once in the water for drinking or Limeade, it has a pleasant citurs fragrance and normal taste, the bitterness seem to be not noticeable. Love the Limeade that we make with this lime power and stevia.

Wondering what percentage of the powder is the juice and what percentage the white pithy part of the lime. The white part has fibers, pectin, flavonoids, etc – all very good for the health. Love that it is organic. So overall, it is a Great product and would buy it again.

I got this envelope to replace the little packets that taste truly like lemon (Wink Wink). There is a small scoop in the envelope to dispense the powder. It tastes wonderful in a cold glass of water on a hot day. The only minor problem is not with the powder or the flavor, but whenever it’s used to cook and the steam contacts the scoop it turns into a hardened bit of lemon flavored cement. Therefore, I have remedied that minor issue by using a spoon and stirring it right into the pot. Works beautifully. This is really a much less expensive alternative to buying the little packets.

It has a mild lemon flavor, but not a lot of tartness. To me it tasted less like lemon juice, which is tart, and more like a mild lemon flavor, like you would get worth lemon zest. It's fine but I found it to be too mild for what I wanted.

I love the fact that it's just plain dehydrated lemon juice. No sugar or other things added. I can feel good adding a scoop of this to my water bottle, every time I refill it. Knowing I basically just squeezed a whole lemon into my bottle and just that! ????

I was looking for the taste of lime juice, and this is more the taste of lime zest. It has the essence of lime, but is missing the “sour” of lime juice. So not what I wanted, but still ok for using where a lime flavor is called for, but the sour taste is not required.

EDIT: I incorrectly thought I was using two flat scoops of Micro Ingredients, but really I was using one flat scoop, maybe the tiniest bit rounded. I didn't know because I had switched to using a tablespoon instead of the provided scoop and I just assumed I was using two scoops. So that means the Key Nutrients Electrolytes Lemonade Powder costs almost twice as much, but I still find myself liking that powder better because it takes way less powder, tastes better, and has electrolytes. Anyway, both brands are good. It's up to you to decide what is better for you.

UPDATE: I switched to the other powder. This Micro Ingredients lemon powder costs around $18 for 140 servings, but I usually use at least two servings per bottle of water so it is really $18 for 70 servings. And for every two servings, I get around 60-80 mg of Vitamin C and nothing else. But the Key Nutrients Electrolytes Lemonade Powder is $40 for 90 servings. But the lemon taste is so strong that I can use half a scoop for a serving, sot that means it is $40 for 180 servings. And each half serving has 85 mg of Vitamin C but also a ton of other vitamins and minerals and electrolytes. So in reality, they are about the same price. But I also like the taste of the electrolyte lemonade powder better. So from now on, I'm getting the Key Nutrients brand. I want to lower this Micro Ingredients lemon powder rating to three stars, but if the Key Nutrients powder did not exist I'd still be buying this Micro Ingredients brand so I will only lower it to four stars.

UPDATE: I might be switching to another brand soon.. It's about the same in price but in addition to the lemon taste and Vitamin C, it also has electrolytes. Micro Ingredients Lemon Powder is still a good product at a good price, I'm just trying to get more value for my buck.

UPDATE: Don't get the orange flavor. The lemon is good, but the orange is terrible.

UPDATE: To enhance flavor, I am using around two flat scoops per 28 oz bottle of water. Also, to make the powder dissolve better and faster, I start by using a little warm water and the powder and I shake it. Then I add cold water.

The taste is very subtle, but effective. If I mix one flat scoop of the powder with 28 oz of water, I find myself drinking the entire bottle of water fast. Whereas if I just drink plain water, I would only drink sips here and there and it might take me a whole day to drink one bottle of water. So this powder is good in that I end up drinking 2-3x more water than I usually do, and water has a lot of health benefits. The taste of lemon isn't like your freshly squeezed lemon juice though. It just transforms boring water into something less boring.

There is around 30-40 mg of Vitamin C per flat scoop. 100% DV of Vitamin C is 90 mg. So three flat scoops should give you plenty of Vitamin C each day. This product includes the plastic scoop.

I wish that the price was cheaper though. When I saw that there were 140 scoops per bag, I was thinking that one bag would last me many months. But since I'd be using three scoops a day, one bag would only last me one month. I'm not too excited about purchasing $20 bags each and every month of the year. I like this product enough where I may end up buying one or two more bags, but I also hope that there are cheaper alternatives.

EDIT: I just found out that you can buy a 2-pack on Amazon for cheaper. I had bought one pack and then another three packs. But if I had known and bought two 2-packs instead, I would have saved $14. Or if I had bought a one pack to test the product out and then a 2-pack, I would have saved $7. Oh well. Now I know.
