5.0 out of 5 stars first time tasting this

humm... it was my first time tasting this and I did not expect a blend taste with just a hint of flavor... It's like eating tofu but with a hint of seasoning in it ... it was still enjoyable. I think it would be great if you treat it the same as tofu and marinate it the day prior and then cook it. Then you would get a flavor full , mouth watery piece of " fake" meat ...I like it anyway

4.0 out of 5 stars Good flavor and shelf stable

These taste decent enough and have a good consistency too -- very burger-like. They taste better with seasonings added to them though. I like that they're shelf stable, which means it's easy enough to keep them on hand when you need a quick burger meal. They're very convenient, but just a bit pricey.

These burgers are soooo good. They gold together and don't turn to mush when you bit into them. I love them. My only issue is they are a bit pricey. $10.00 for 2 burgers. That seems like a lot. Still will probably order again tho.

I tried to be positive regarding this product but I found nothing positive about it:
The patties looked like hockey pucks. They were small & an awful colour. The taste was extremely unpleasant.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very bland, but no mushroom texture

This review is of “Vegan Shroomeats Mushroom Patties, 2 count, 8 Ounces, Meatless Burger from Mushrooms.”
The mushroom patties come in sets of two. They are wrapped in a 2-pack. It’s an airtight, shelf stable foil package with both patties inside. I was a little unsure, when I ordered them, if they would need refrigeration, but it appears they do not. The foil package was quite easy to open by hand. Since they are packaged together, you do have to open both patties at the same time- you don’t have the option to save one for later.
Taste: These are very bland. Like doorstop bland. There seem to be no spices in the patties at all. I don’t even detect a hint of salt. There is almost no flavor. I wish they had added some salt or onion powder or even black pepper to give it a little flavor. I ended up seasoning it myself, which turned out ok, but not great. The spices improved the flavor, but the patty is too thick for the flavors to get down into the middle of it, so you still get a lot of bland.
Texture: This is made of shredded mushroom. The texture is kind of mushy and a little dry, but doesn’t have the characteristic sliminess you get with mushrooms. The biggest texture objection might be the little strings of mushroom inside the patty. However, I didn’t find this a problem because the strings are quite small and short. I did have one get stuck in my teeth, however. The good thing is that the patties do stick together and don’t crumble. I just heated mine in the microwave, but I think you could probably grill these and have them stay together. Grilling might add a little flavor to them, as well.
Thickness: Each patty is quite thick, over an inch thick, and very dense. There is a lot of mushroom in each patty, and you will be getting a substantial, filling meal for each one of these.
Price: They are a bit expensive as compared to meat, but not too expensive when compared to a lot of vegan meat substitutes. They are currently priced at $10 on Amazon, for 2 patties, or about $5 per patty.
Vegan and health: These are vegan and gluten free, so that is a plus if you are following a special diet. They are also pretty low in calories, as compared to a meat burger, since they are made of mushrooms.
For the price, and because I love mushrooms, I wanted to like these a lot more than I did. They are ok, if you are willing to add a lot of spices, but they don’t get better than just ok.

I think these are great alternative to meat or even other meat substitutes. I found they taste best seared wit plenty of seasoning (they are very bland otherwise).
