I love artichokes, but I hate cooking them, so I always stock my pantry with canned artichokes. The Whole Foods own brand (365) ones are a good quality option for the price.
The artichokes are tender, but chewy (with a nice bite), I really like the texture. The taste is nice, slightly nutty, slightly acidic, but mild. The liquid has an odd low quality taste, but the artichokes themselves are quite tasty. The artichokes are whole and look really ice, they work wonderfully on salads and pasta dishes, for making charcuterie / snack boards and even making artichoke dips.
