These are a bit pricey for a dried fruit, but I must say that they are large, plump and delicious. I have had some issues with partial pits in some of the fruits, but that's what happens sometimes and you need to be a little careful when you're digging into a machine pitted fruit.
I grew up with my family enjoying prunes ( dried plums) as a side with breakfast or as a snack. Since the connotation with prunes goes to the helpful and healthful benefits that come with consuming them makes people joke about 'old folks food', not alot of people will even call them prunes anymore, which is weird.
These are plump, moist, and sweet, and they are lovely when you're making pastry with them, but, as I mentioned, just be careful when it comes to having some bits of pit left inside. Otherwise? Enjoy!
