I got the habanero flavor. This is a pack of 7 tamales. It was surprisingly tasty. I thought a prepackaged, shelf stable tamale would be disgusting but this was pretty good. Very convenient - no husks to peel back. Easy to eat in the car or walking to work. The Habanero one was nicely picante, a little bit of zing. Nothing obnoxious, but you noticed it. No real "filling" but there were some beans and some flavors mixed into the masa. I actually prefer that since this makes it even less messy.

These are amazing. I love tamales already and when I found these I had to try them. They are delicious! Its such a great idea for food on the go. I take them hiking(as the namesake intends!), biking, to work, I eat them cold out of the pack. Makes for a great healthy snack!

Pleasantly surprised, great for preppers, good flavor

These are handy little treats. I tried one of the Jalapeno and it was delicious. They don't have a ton of "in your face" flavor and are a little oily but I love the balance of protein, fat and carbs. Great for storage bins, go bags and pantry for quick protein fat and carbs in one package with good flavor. I ordered a box each of the Jalapeno and Habanero. I love Habanero so I'm sure those will be good. Better warmed in the microwave than cold but either works. Ones I got are dated through 2025 so you could prep with these and rotate them easily. I have eaten about 4 of these from my stash and they are growing on me. it's a texture thing for people who don't like them or are expecting a huge flavor blast. I'm into them. GREAT vehicle for hot sauce! The habanero ones have a subtle fruity heat that builds. Very satisfying.

We love the flavor of the Salsa Verde, and this is so quick and easy. My daughter just eats them without heating, but I like them better after nuking them. I had one as a side dish to barbecue pork and it was wonderful. It's also good as a snack. I recommend this product, but be mindful of the other flavors because they are spicy, at least to our taste. If you like spicy food, then try the other ones. The Salsa verde flavor can be served with salsa for more flavor, as some people might find them to be bland.

What a great healthy snack or quick meal that is tasty and super convenient to eat on the go. I wish they had a non spicy version so my young daughter who doesn’t like spicy food could enjoy them as well.

I bought the variety pack $28 for 7 making them $4 a piece. This was pretty expensive for tamales but because they were vegan I wanted to give them a try. I was expecting bean filled tamales but was not what I received. The overall flavor and texture was good but I was very disappointed when each “tamale” only had about 3-5 beans. I paid $4 a “tamale” to get a small portion of boil cornmeal with a few beans and some sauce. A normal tamale is $2 each and is much bigger with actual filling. I will never purchase again because I felt fooled into buying it. It’s a good snack but I would have appreciated some honesty from the company of what we were really getting. If you want a quick snack that is a little spicy with a good texture, this is for you! But if you are expecting a vegan tamale, don’t waste your money cause it’s not good enough to make up for your disappointment for not getting what you’re expecting.

These taste just like a tamale. Weird looking but they taste great. You can heat it in the packaging and squish it through the top or eat it cold. I prefer hot. There is a little spice to them but not to spicy.
