Been eating tofu occasionally for 30+ years while trying to limit animal products. This tofu has a good firm texture, makes it easy to work with (slices, cubes, crumbles). Very benign taste, blends in easily in most dishes. Only recently learned how to freeze it which is a solid boon for me since I'm the only one eating it in my household. Freezes & thaws perfectly. This has nice texture & taste, good price. Can't go wrong.

With a light soy marinade and goodies like mushrooms tomatoes garlic and peppers. A good substitute for fried egg. Enjoy.

more than once i have prepared "extra firm" tofu and cut it into cubes only to have it completely disintegrate during a sauté/stir-fry. this tofu really holds up well. obviously there is some water in it you should probably squeeze out before hitting the pan. sometimes tofu will start falling apart during that process. not this stuff. taste? it's tofu--YOU provide the flavor. great price too. packs i have received always have at least a month or more left until the "expiration date".

This is my go-to tofu for all my vegan cooking.

I use the extra-firm most of the time and always use my tofu press to squeeze as much of the water out of the block of tofu before cooking.
It's worth the 20 minutes of squeezing out the water to ensure a firmer finished product. You can use that 20 minutes to prep all of your ingredients for the meal.

If you want to up your tofu game when done pressing; slice the block into 1x2 cubes and toss into the freezer for several hours. Defrost before using in the meal. The freezing process will push out the extra water giving the tofu more of an 'al dente' mouthfeel for the meal.

This is the first time I have tried a non-refrigerated tofu and I didn't know what to expect. This brand turned out to be very good. It is creamy and makes nice vegan mayo and other vegan creams and sauces. Will definitely order again.
