Soap Cauldron

Founded in 1999, Sonoma County based boutique Soap Cauldron is the home of the Three Sisters Apothecary a line of artisan soaps and skincare handcrafted in small batches in the centuries-old tradition with gourmet oils, butters, essential oils and botanicals. We are also the creators of Soapy Tails an all-natural line for Canine bath and coat care.

Handcrafted in Sonoma County California

Our products are locally inspired, made using natural ingredients and hand packaged.

We use only natural ingredients which is why we only make anhydrous (oil based) products. Products made without water do not require synthetic preservatives or emulsifiers, as such you won’t find any liquid soaps or body lotions in our line. Our products are made using natural ingredients and packaged responsibly.

I am a sucker for good body butters, oils and natural skin care. I have had many and only a few keep me coming back for more. Three Sisters Apothecary has just made my list. I ordered the Santa Rosa Plum Nutmeg. I really enjoy the light sweet plum smell with a hint of nutmeg. It is not overpowering and not too weak leaving you wanting more. This butter is more like a semi-solid oil than a cream or whipped body butter, but, it goes on smooth and absorbs nicely without leaving a heavy, greasy feel. It leaves your skin feeling soft and nourished almost immediately. This stuff is good for year around use, but, it’s going to be absolutely amazing for dry winter skin.

Also, the packaging! Shipped in recyclable padded envelope adorned with a shop sticker, beautifully wrapped in tissue paper with little cauldrons on it. It came with a little envelop with the invoice, business card, sticker and a free trial of the Santa Rosa Plum Nutmeg soap. Super cute and sweet little touches that would make this a wonderful gift for yourself or anyone else that you want to treat to a little spa love. Such a lovely experience. I’ll be back for more!

I wasn't quite expecting the consistency (a bit like soft shoe polish), but got used to it. I mix it with a non-scented cream and it blends in perfectly. I don't want to lie but the smell was initially a bit surprising due to the mix of vanilla in the licorice tones ( as indicated on the label, I know!), but I quickly got used to it and now I use it just to be able to smell it. The attention to details of the product and its packaging are impressive. Nice metal container with soft grip, easy to open. Got a free soap sample in the shipping. I definitely recommend this. A bit pricey but completely worth it.

I just received my Blood Orange & Cardamom Body Butter from Three Sisters…heavenly! The orange fragrance is dominant with a subtle back note of warm, spicy cardamom. The butter melts into my skin - you need to work it in well. I have very dry skin, and all the wonderful moisturizers in this butter really soften it up nicely. The price is very reasonable as well. So glad I stumbled upon Three Sisters products.

The moisturizing effect is long lasting. I have very dry hands and couldn't believe how soft my skin felt after using it. I purchased the fig scent which I love. This will be a repeat purchase. I also loved how they sent a small bar soap sample of their orange/ cardamom scent. I haven't tried it yet, but that too smells amazing.

Really love this body butter. My thyroid is extremely sensitive to any non-natural scents. That's why I went with this lotion as it is scented with essential oils only. And oh my goodness does it smell amazing. I keep having this lingering scent which is rare for an all natural body product. Please never discontinue this pumpkin scented version as I will be buying it each fall season! And the packaging was amazing with a free fall-scented soap added as bonus. You guys went above and beyond!
