The metal is grey, not at all shiny and light like on the picture. The "engraving" is barely visible. The metal resistance is so hard, I'll probably have to hammer it in order to secure it, so it's falling to the bottom of the tubing and twirling around there, which means it is audible when you try to use your stethoscope because it touches the chest piece. This is NOT handmade, this is just an open ring of scrap metal vaguely inscribed with a crappy machine. Don't waste your money the way I wasted mine.
