Soap Cauldron

Founded in 1999, Sonoma County based boutique Soap Cauldron is the home of the Three Sisters Apothecary a line of artisan soaps and skincare handcrafted in small batches in the centuries-old tradition with gourmet oils, butters, essential oils and botanicals. We are also the creators of Soapy Tails an all-natural line for Canine bath and coat care.

Handcrafted in Sonoma County California

Our products are locally inspired, made using natural ingredients and hand packaged.

We use only natural ingredients which is why we only make anhydrous (oil based) products. Products made without water do not require synthetic preservatives or emulsifiers, as such you won’t find any liquid soaps or body lotions in our line. Our products are made using natural ingredients and packaged responsibly.

    This fig-scented body butter smells SO good! I love it! I love the scent of fig and so went on a search to find something fig-scented in a lotion or cream, and found this! It smells so good, it's way better than expected! It certainly entices me to use it more frequently so I end up getting more benefit from it because of the excellent smell -- and it's easy to use, easy to open, easy to get out, I can get just as much as I want (unlike with things coming in tubes that sometimes decide for you how much you're getting!), put in on, close it up, no problem! It came quickly and in great shape, too. It's thick enough it feels great on my skin, very soothing and moisturizing -- and is especially good on potentially rougher places such as elbows .... Let me just reiterate how great the smell is! It shows a cauldron in the picture and I think that captures the scent (and maybe intention of the scent, and also feel?) very well -- it reminds me of events I've attended put on by people who would indeed use a cauldron, so it's magical, communal, caring -- the scent for me is very deeply meaningful, and that isn't something I can say about a lot of lotions or potions available out there! It really draws me into myself and past, socially close experiences. I might even say it makes me believe in myself in that way! It makes me feel I am and can be a part of something, even -- or perhaps especially! -- when I am/ have been feeling isolated for various reasons! SO glad I bought this! An unexpected treat in this tin!

    I am delighted with this body butter. The smell is very unique and pleasant but not too strong. At first glance I was worried it would be the type that you have to rub for a while to get it out of the tin but it melts on contact. The oils absorb quickly and don't leave behind any greasiness. I also got the lip smoother and they put a free soap tester of the California Mission Fig and Honey bar, which smells so good!
    The package arrived a week earlier than I expected through the post office and was packaged very carefully. I will definitely be ordering again.

    I Like This Body Butter. It Is Lightly Scented And Absorbs Nicely. It's Not Greasy And Makes My Skin Feel Soft. Also After I Wash My Hair, I Put A Very Small Amount On My Hand , Rub It In, And Them Run My Fingers Through My Hair. It Leaves My Hair Soft And Not Greasy. Great Quality Products!

    They really do a great job, I got the Night blooming Jasmine and it’s so rich, perfectly blended, it’s so smooth. Then there’s the scent! OMG it’s the most beautiful, dead on night blooming jasmine i’ve smelled since I had this beautiful blooming jasmine plant in my home. I’ve never been able to find one like it, but this lotion literally provides that scent! amazing!

    My absolute favorite chocolate body butter was discontinued some years ago. It was so disappointing. I have since found this one, with much purer ingredients, I'm sure. It feels wonderful on my skin, keeps my body moisturized and smells so yummy.

    I ordered two. The cinnamon pumpkin and mission fig with honey. I couldn’t decide! But I’m glad I ordered them because they are both magnificent.

    They came thoughtfully packaged and included a little sample of the cinnamon pumpkin soap. I’ll definitely be using that very soon, so thank you! That was so nice!

    The solid lotions melt easily under your fingers. I have arthritis so I have to swirl my fingers around a few times to build up the product but it picks up easy! I’m afraid the first few times, I picked up a bit too much, heh. The lotion melts into your skin quickly and the scents are strong initially but taper off. The cinnamon pumpkin can only be described as smelling warm and the mission fig with honey smells like candy. My skin also feels wonderful after applying this!
