Flavor: Lemongrass & Clove

Technically, I shouldn't like this lip balm, since there are a number of things about it that I don't normally like. However, they somehow all work in this product, and it's quickly become my favorite.

First, I should mention that I have severely dry lips (the type found with Fibromyalgia, Sjogren's, and other dryness conditions) and sensitive, rash-prone skin. Most lip balms are too hard for me, and they tear at my lips and/or irritate the skin around them. In contrast, this one is nice and soft. It does have little bits of harder material in it, which I normally despise in balms. In this case, though, those little bits provide a great exfoliating/scrub effect before melting together and moisturizing the freshly-scrubbed lips. The result is perfect.

The balm has a strong flavor/scent combination, which is something else that I don't normally like. Again, this product is the exception to that rule. I absolutely love the lemon/citrus flavor, and the scent is soothing and pleasant.

Finally, when my lips are particularly dry, this product stings/burns when I apply it. That is something I DEFINITELY don't like in general, but in this case...you guessed it. I love the way it feels. It's like it's knitting the lips back together, healing and protecting them and leaving them tingling in a lovely manner.

Ultimately, I recommend that you try this lip balm, even if you see phrases in the reviews that you normally don't like. Maybe it will prove to be as big an exception for you as it's been for me. Personally, I just bought a pack of five tubes so I can keep one in every part of the house. That's how much I like it.

I’m a happy camper as this lip balm is exactly as was advertised. All natural ingredients, decomposable packaging including the tube and the material it came in. Feels great on lips. Heals rather than dries out further. Smells fantastic. Will definitely buy again!

So, the scent is pretty nice, and I love the eco paper packaging. It feels nice on my lips, or at least it did when I first unsealed the tube.

Then I let it sit for a couple weeks, and put it on again, and it was like grains of sand were in it, mixed in with the smoothness.

I noticed at least one other reviewer mentioned the graininess thing happening with their tube, also. (I bought the strawberry & vanilla. Don't know which they bought.)

I was going to finish out the tubes anyway, but I've also noticed a weird irritated & itchy feeling in the back of my throat when I put this on my lips. I've had other brands of lip balm give me this feeling before, but I've had a hard time figuring out which ingredient is bothering my system.

Unfortunately, due to the (allergic?) irritation, I'm going to have to return this product & get my money back.

I really like this product although it is very tiny. I am used to Meow Meow Tweet brand which gives you a huge tube and this is simply not that. I think it will go a long way, however, so I believe the price is fair. I just use a little bit at a time. You don’t need a whole lot. One thing I don’t love is that it is a bit gritty. Not my favorite texture, but still great for the price.

I would get this product again and would try another scent. The mint is very pleasant but STRONG. I ordered this scent on accident so that’s my fault, but it’s not bad.

Absolutely perfect lip balm!

I read a feature article about the guy who developed this lip balm and was excited about the concept of limited waste and quality product. This balm is spot on! It is a nice, full size for comfortable application, it lasts a long time, and the cardboard container will easily biodegrade when I am finished. I purchased the unscented/unflavored and the product is true to the label. I love it so much that now I've ordered some with flavor and scent to check them out!

So I want to be clear my preferences, I've like Halanlei lip balm, and O'Keefe "lip repair". I prefer something clean, clear and hydrating. I also don't mind a fun scent but within reason.
Why I wanted to try this, was it was bigger, ticked all the organic/ethical boxes, seemed like it was a fun scent(I got strawberry vanilla).
My experience, it was much smaller than i thought. It's a push up. The surface of application is bigger which was what i wanted.
The scent was/is AWFUL & unbearable. It was overpowering & did not smell anything like strawberry & vanilla. It was more like random incense. I also really like incense but NOT THIS. The texture wasn't bad it coats well. I really wished I could deal.
But it's my money in the garbage.

Great lip balm! I was surprised how small it was at first, but it is wider than a standard chapstick, so I guess that kinda makes up for it. I like the shorter tube now that I’ve tried it. Either way it’s really good stuff, so I’m happy with it. If it feels gritty sometimes that goes right away after putting it on. Sometimes I put it on and feel it and sometimes I don’t. I think this just happens sometimes with all natural products. I’m ok with it. Gives a little exfoliation, lol! I also appreciate the eco friendly packaging. I’d recommend it.
