Our BEE CLEAR is a soothing herbal balm with beeswax, bee propolis, coconut oil and olive oil enriched with a unique blend of essential oils results in this healing salve perfect to soothe cough and congestion.
Handmade in small batches with natural ingredients, this salve is free from harmful chemicals, gentle on your skin. Not tested on animals.
Directions for Use: Apply to your chest, neck, throat or feet as needed.
For external use only. Do not get into eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dark place.

  9. What makes our products unique?

    Our salve is handmade, hand-poured in Shelton CT. We only use only all natural ingredients, local beeswax and propolis. It is formulated without fillers, phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, or SLS

    How did we get our start?

    We started beekeeping with two small hives in the spring of 2020. Shortly after Jaja started handcrafted lip balm and hand salve for her kids using beeswax and propolis for its healing properties.

    The chest rub smelled lovely to me and provided a pleasant aroma for soothing coughs. As for side effects, I didn't experience any. My skin didn't feel irritated at all. The salve feels soothing on my chest. It's made from natural ingredients, which gives me peace of mind. It comes in a small, flat tin, making it easy to store. I wish the tin can is bigger and less easy to lose.

    Bees are such an important part of our everyday life so I am always interested in anything associated with bees. We live on a small rural southern farm and hope to have bees one day, but for now we appreciate their job here and support them by growing pollinator attractants. Our family chooses natural remedies whenever possible and have been using essential oils successfully for years. I was intrigued by this Bee Clear cough and congestion salve when searching for a natural product for our three and four year olds. I am impressed with everything about it, from the packaging which includes an introductory thank you card, to the easy to open screw lid tin (the push on closure type can be so hard to open), to the salve itself. The salve is smooth and creamy, and the smell of the essential oils (eucalyptus, camphor, peppermint, and lemon) are prominent enough to help open a stuffy nose without being too overpowering. Thankfully all is well at our home currently, so we won’t be applying the product right now but we are prepared for when we do need it. I am so impressed with this product that I visited the sellers store, Planet Bee Apiary to discover they have three other salves (I’m ordering the Pain Bee Gone, icy muscle and joint salve) and pictures showing their family and bees. I wish this USA family business based in Connecticut much success.

    I like the feel and consistency of the product itself. Very smooth and not overpowering. Personally, I need a more powerful scent to inhale so I am able to breathe when I am stuffed up. Just know that it is more of a light scent. The salve itself is soft and creamy like texture so I think this is a great item for kids.

    I love this salve! I'm a big fan of Vapor Rub but I'm trying to go with more natural products and this does not disappoint! It's very light and the smell is not overpowering. It melts into your skin easily and doesn't leave an oily residue on your skin or even my fingers. A wonderful, NATURAL, alternative to the over-the-counter chemical stuff. With the price point, it has exceeded my expectations! Worth it!! Would also be the perfect addition to a get well soon basket.

    I do not think this works any better or any worse than the cough and congestion salve that I can buy at most HABA stores. However, I like that this is a more natural product than most of the similar products on the market. It still has a medicinal scent, but does not burn my skin where applied like some of the mass market congestion salve do.

    Nice sized tub of salve. Has a homemade/handmade look and comes in a container with a picture of a bee- is easy to open. Salve has good thickness, moisture and soothes the skin well. I love the smell and it seems to work well for congestion and relaxation- nice breathing in. Not too strong but soothing. It's good quality- recommended.
