After reading a NYTimes article on the value of adding water flossing to my mouth care regime, I ordered this flosser. I've used it twice a day for a month -- in the morning after using regular floss and in the evening after brushing (but not flossing.) My gums have not bled and I do not find it painful. I fill the reservoir twice for each session, which I do not find onerous, at is only take about five seconds to fill the reservoir. After I'm done, I open the port to the reservoir and drain it, then turn the flosser on until all the water has blown out. I leave the reservoir open when I store it. I also run some rubbing alcohol through the flosser once a week. So far, I have not had any problems with mustiness or mold. My teeth feel cleaner and I enjoy using this. The battery charge lasts a really long time, and the fact that the flosser is not connected to anything via tubing makes it very easy to use -- much easier than the old water pic I grew up with and never liked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, seriously - not a fake review

I went through two “Waterpik” brand flossers - one succumbed to mold even with cleaning and another would randomly lose pressure. I became really frustrated with spending $60+ and it turning out to be cheap junk. I was ready to spend big money on a Phillips or other brand and then I saw this. Normally I’m weary of Amazon recommended products because they’re white label Chinese junk, but THIS .. is NOT. And even if it is, it’s so cheap I’d just buy another.

I wanted to get a handheld because the traditional flossers are cumbersome to use and travel with. Being handheld I worried about power - this thing does NOT lack power, it’s fantastic actually. I really like it to blast stuff out of my teeth and that it does.

Cleaning? Stupid easy. Pull the tank off the back, empty the water out of it, leave the flap door open and have it sit on your sink. No tubes to flush out and get mildew in. The tube on the back is clear (no mildew) easily removed, and so short if you just run the flosser for a second with no water it’ll shoot it all out.

Battery life is two weeks easily running it twice a day on full blast. Amazing.

The settings are great - normal high, low pressure, and a pulse that goes low to high. I had a root canal recently and the low pressure was perfect to clean around my gums while they were sensitive. I would absolutely not recommend this for tooth extraction though - even the lowest setting will blast your blood clot out and you’ll get dry socket.

The tank is a bit small but any bigger and it would be annoying to use. The flap door on the tank is so quick to use, you just pop it open, run it under the faucet for a second, and boom you’re topped up. It’s a non issue unless you are super super lazy.

It doesn’t have fancy attachments but you really don’t need them. The pressure is perfect, the ergonomics are perfect, and the battery life is stellar. At $35 this is an absolute steal and I’m co soldering buying another just to have as backup. It’s that good.

4.0 out of 5 stars My First Experience with a Water Pick And I Approve

I am new to the water pick game and this is my first experience with using one. I have been using the floss picks for many years This water pick is what they call a portable one with a built-in water tank. This is opposed to the ones with the larger external water tanks. This pick has three speeds: normal, sensitive and pulsing. I mostly using normal and pulsing. I can do the top or bottom of my teeth on a full tank of water. It is rechargeable and lasts for about two weeks on a full charge.

I recommend doing a little research before purchasing this pick. There is a lot to know and there is a technique to using it. You need to learn what each mode does, water temperature, optimal pattern to clean your teeth, what tip to use, how to handle the water flow in your mouth…

Even though the pick is portable and comes with a travel bag, I probably won’t be traveling with it anytime soon. I will admit that using this pick makes a bit of a mess around the sink. It is nothing major and just requires a little wipe up after you are done.

I am becoming a fan of this water pick. My teeth feel much cleaner, but only a visit to my dentist will give me the real me the real verdict. I recommend this pick for anyone, and especially for those that are looking to make the switch from floss/floss picks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made and ample water force.

The AquaSonic Flosser is very easy to hold and comes with several flossing tips. The 3 modes for flossing are fine. I prefer the normal mode which has great water force for removing items from between teeth. The water tank size is just ok. I find I have to fill it at least 2 times. The size of the water tank is what makes it easy to hold though. It is definitely a plus to have the charger that comes with the unit. The AquaSonic Flosser is stable when you put it down and seems well made. I’m very satisfied with this purchase
