    This lamp was very easy to set up, you just pull it out of the box and plug it in. There is a little stand that pops out of the back which seems a little flimsy yet functions. Very slim and lightweight for storage. The controls are intuitive, power on in the center, the 3 levels or brightness controlled by the button on the left (sun) and timer (which is accurate) on the right side (clock) It is much brighter than I expected and my eyes actually had to adjust to it. Overall I'd say it's a good value for the price. Based on the peer review studies I've read light therapy is a proven effective treatment for seasonal affective disorder and the requirements for an appropriate light box are 10,000 lux of light (the high setting on the lamp) placed 16-24 inches from your face (don't look directly into the light) for 20-30 min. I am able to setting this up on my desk while I work or read so it's convenient.
    *TLDR: slim and easy to set up, very bright, timer works.
    *I don't have a photometer to measure if this lamp is actually 10,000 lux as advertised.

    This item arrived quickly and works great. I love the timer feature and that it’s easy to set the time and strength with the buttons right on the front. The stand seemed flimsy at first but it has worked fine. The plug doesn’t seem to fit fully into the unit and I thought it might fall out, but it hasn’t, so maybe it just looks like it doesn’t fit all the way in. I used to use a blue light for years but it finally died on me and so this is a replacement for that. I haven’t felt a big difference yet but the real test will come when it becomes February!
