Ever try to cut a medicine table in half with a knife? Didn't work to well, if at all, did it. Your problem is now handily solved with this pill cutter. No difficult instructions. I knew how to use it the minute I took it out the box and opened it (it's "hinged"). Just lift up the cover, put the bill in the "V" (you'll immediately know what the "V" is). The "V" has ridges on both sides to prevent the pill from slipping so as to result from an unclean cut. So buy one, use it with ease, and thank Amazon buyers for coming up with another solution to what used to be a problem - first for me and now for you. This pill cutter is surprisingly handy! It's small enough to toss in my purse, but still cuts even the biggest pills cleanly. Plus, the little pill holder is a bonus for keeping things organized. Definitely recommend it for anyone who struggles with taking large pills.

The bought it for my dogs meds instead of trying to cut with a knife. It does a much better job. It’s not perfect and has room for improvement because it can leave a small bit of pill breakage if you don’t properly use it. When you set the pill in slightly tilt the container back so the pill securely sits all the way back in the slot and slowly close the top where the razor is so you can align the razor to the center of your pill before you quickly close it shut. It’s very simple to use and it comes with a little brush tool that you can brush out access pill dust from it. It’s easy to rinse out as well. Comes in handy for a more accurate dividing of pills.

i got this for my medicine obviously and i have a cat that likes to knock things over for attention. while the function is great and it’s good for people who might have mobility issues and need something with simpler mechanics. the actual unit itself is very prone to popping apart if dropped. not that i would think it would account for this in the design but just fair warning because it shocked me to wake up and find the pill splitter in 3 pieces on the ground from falling 2 feet. but other than that! good product. i’ve had it for almost a year. the pill carrying ring is a great idea but mine did have very little threading and fell off. so be wary of this as well

Dog has cancer. It works ok for a plastic price of crap. It works but I'd look for a higher priced item for human use . If you are looking for a low cost option like I was it is perfect!

Let me preface this by saying I had a pill splitter that worked great, but the blade finally dulled. So I bought another brand of pill splitter, the EZY Dose -- it had a mountain of great reviews, but boy that thing was awful. It crushed pills, sent them flying everywhere, seriously, it was bad. Come on, it's hard enough giving your aging dog pills every night. You don't need the aggravation of splitting and crushing pills that fly all over the place in that EZY Dose.

And now, thanks to this EXCELLENT pill splitter, I don't have to. This John Bee splitter looks very similar in design to the trusty one I had. Works perfectly to cut small pills for my dog and has become a no brainer. Once again, I can give my dog her pills in a relaxed, chill state of mind — which puts her at ease too!

I use this to cut small gabapentin pills that are compounded by CareFirst RX and this splitter is excellent for those.
