5.0 out of 5 stars I was skeptical, but this stuff really works:

Reading the reviews and researching countless articles about creatine, it seemed as though this was some sort of wonder drug. I am EXTREMELY cautious when it comes to putting anything unnecessary in my body, but a friend convinced me to try this brand, and let me tell you… it actually works.

I started working out consistently since the beginning of 2020. Since then, I have only supplemented whey protein powder the entire time (the only workout supplement I believed to be safe). I used this creatine brand, and within two weeks, I saw a VERY noticeable increase in muscle definition. I didn’t change anything about my workout routine, yet received a noticeable ~20% - 30% increase in water muscle mass. Not to mention the same percentage increase in strength and agility. My bench, rows, and squat totals increased drastically within three weeks.

As for the product, it’s tasteless and very easy to swallow. There’s no smell, but it takes a good 30 seconds to dissolve fully in water. I did not find it to be “sandy” like some other reviews mentioned.

One benefit that I don’t see many others commenting was that I’ve experienced MUCH LESS cramps since I started creatine. I experienced much more energy and agility as well. I used to get cramps while playing basketball and volleyball, but since I started creatine, I’ve experienced none. None!

One drawback was that I did not experience the cognitive benefits that others proclaimed. I don’t feel any more “sharper” or “alert” than before, which is a bummer as this was one of the things I wanted the most from this product. Perhaps I need to supplement longer to see those results, and I will update my review if I do notice this.

In conclusion, from a fellow skeptic, I would recommend this product to any workout / sport enthusiast who wants to take their performance up a notch. It takes about two weeks of daily supplementation and CONSTANT hydration to see results, so stick with it. I really, really wish I used this four years ago when I first started lifting.

Creatine monohydrate is not very soluble and most of the 5g dose does not go into solution in water. I recommend pouring it into water, and mixing vigorously between each sip, drinking the last bit as fast as possible. Otherwise a significant amount stays in the cup and you're spending money just to dump it down the sink and not get your full dose.

When I first started I mixed with protein powder and noticed the last sip was always gritty and there was a significant amount of residue at the bottom of my blender bottle. It took me a while to realize that was all creatine, which was particularly painful since this was during my loading phase, so lots going down the drain and not getting all the benefit!

Otherwise, it's a good product... a little gritty but that's probably unavoidable. No bad taste, pretty easy to gulp down in a few ounces of water.

This stuff does not have much of a flavor, which is good. It is easy to swallow with a swig or two of water and it dissolves OK-ish in a shaker cup. Maybe the term dissolve isn't completely accurate but it is drinkable with very little effort. I often dump a scoop in with my protein powder and mix them together. I've been taking it most days for a couple of months and I have noticed a sizable improvement in my performance in the gym. I seem to get less fatigued, I gained strength faster than usual, I could literally do 4-6 more reps of certain exercises in just a few weeks time. I was struggling to do 14-15 reps of incline dumbbell press and after taking this Optimum Nutrition Micronized Creatine Monohydrate Powder for about a month I was hitting 17-20 reps. I have since jumped up 15 lbs and am hitting the 85 lb dumbbells.
Is it mind over matter, a placebo effect? Am I just hitting the gym with more regularity? I'm thinking this stuff actually works.
I have put on a good 10 lbs of unwanted fat since I started taking this but I think I can take that off again soon enough.

Men do you know that after the age 30 your body has a harder time building muscle and maintaining energy? This product is something you should be taking every day for the rest of your life at least 5 g. No exaggeration there is absolutely no reason for you to be mixing this with your coffee milk juice or whatever. I work a full-time job in a warehouse which is extremely stressful and exhausting and the addition of this product has allowed me to work insane hours making insane paychecks without feeling insane pain. Do yourself a favor and try this out for at least a month and then thank me later

The product does in fact work, however, I have a couple things to harp on. For being such a dominating brand in the fitness world, Optimum Nutrition definitely dropped the ball on this product. You spend $20+ on their product and it doesn't even come with a scoop. Great, now I have to piss my wife off by using her tsp measuring cup and clean it (just joking to add some humor....sort of). Besides this, the product is in fact flavorless so 1up there, however the product doesn't disolve hardly at all. I tried dissolving it in water(room temp and cold), heck I tried putting it in a carbonated drink and it didn't disolve much. Just know you will get that gritty texture when downing this with your preferred beverage. I personally got over it, but just a heads up for those that are weird with textures. The performance has been great so good job overall. Just might need to stop being stingy and add a measuring scoop in all of your powdered products.

Best,
Tyler

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, but only a few cons.

Creatine works great however, they do not include a scoop which is a bit annoying when you are trying to quickly measure and go. The creatine is not soluble in cold water, unless that water is hot which will dissolve the creatine but hot water is gross and unpleasant when you want to work out, but if you add ice afterwards it’s not so bad.
