I’ve been telling that joke since he used to be in the commercials for the vacuums, but this fan has really taken it to the next level. It blows. In the best way, not the pejorative.

I have a second floor home office with a window on the west side. In the morning it gets great light, but in the afternoon, it gets great heat. I was wilting in the afternoon, in April, in Chicago. Ahead of summer, I decided I needed a fan.

I love this thing. It moves air really well. On the first power level, it’s a light breeze that actually cools the room in direct sunlight in about ten minutes. And it’s quiet on 1. On 4, it starts to get a bit loud, and at 10 it’s working hard and very loud. I haven’t really run it for any length of time above a 4 because it works so well.

Things I might improve on it: maybe a metal base to make it a bit more substantial, though the light weight makes it kind of portable.

It could also have a wider swing, out to 180* would be better. It maxes out at about 135*, which is good but 189 would be better.

The remote has a narrowish window to hit, and is the only control for it. If the fan is on the floor, you have to be intentional about aiming it.

And it’s kind of expensive.

Hope it lasts, but it’s been two weeks and I’m in love.

Pretty awesome. My apartment is shaped like a shoebox, with the mini-split at one end and my office on the other. Office is always really warm during a heat wave. Bought this to cool the farther end of the house and expected to hear, "you paid WHAT for WHAT?" To be honest, it is currently running in my office (far end of the house) and doing a fabulous job. Like a mini AC. Would totally recommend. Makes a bit of a whoosing sound, but not bad at all. Easy to assemble.

The easiest tower fan I have ever set up, an ancient boomer could figure it out without instructions. It’s light weight, so it’s easy to move around. But, most importantly, the air is blowing, and it’s cool. Only con so far, the cord is kind of short. Also, it’s expensive, but I live in socal and it’s hot.

Great concept and design. Lesser quality construction than I expected for price point. Needs to move more air with higher setting availability for price point. It’s a keeper but would prefer it had double the power for what I paid.

The fan is a good fan. My remote would not work. Replaced the battery . still wouldn't work. Had to but a second remote from amazon to get things running. The lack of buttons on the fan limits you if the remote is non functional. Other Dyson fans that I have re smaller and have other options.

I’m cheap and the thought of a $350 fan was crazy, especially because you can get a portable ac unit for that much. But I live in Northern CO and just need something for the summer so I splurged. I wanted it to suck so I could return it and feel justified in my cheapness, but Mr. Dyson, respect. It’s blows air like crazy and the noise is pretty low. Plus it does match the decor of the place. I hate that I’ll probably buy one of his vacuums now.

I bought 2 of them. 1 in color white / silver 1 in color black / silver. My husband and I use them for home office. They are very good looking, light weight. Very easy to install. Fan speed from 1 to 10. At speed 10, it may be a little loud, but nothing that bothers us. The remote control has a magnet that may be attached on the top center of the fan. Very happy with the purchase, very good quality and good looking fans.
