UPDATE:
I reached out to customer service and had a response within 24 hours. After providing them with the receipt and picture of the broken lid, they have sent a replacement. They were extremely responsive and went above and beyond to rectify the broken lid. I have updated the review to five stars due to loving the lunchbox because it’s leakproof, but also due to their amazing customer service.

To preface this, I have reached out to support and I’m hoping for a timely resolution. In the meantime, I wanted to provide my review to warn other parents not to purchase this product as it’s defective. School just started last week and my son has used this particular lunch box twice. While cleaning it today, the piece that locks the lid to keep it from leaking broke. I did purchase two so I have another one. That’s so far has no issue. If I hear from support, I will update this with the resolution.

This is the cutest lunch box. My little boy loves it. Well made. Perfect little compartments for him. He has already been carrying it around. Locks well. I think it’ll hold up good and won’t leak. Perfect for his age range, he’s 5. Very easy to use. The lock on it isn’t too tough for his little fingers but tough enough to keep it closed. Love the little design. Hopefully it will hold up the entire school year.

This is the second lunch box we have purchased from here. They are very durable and do not fade in color. They are easy to clean and the kids love the cute designs. We have also gotten the matching water bottles which are also great!

My kids are in preschool and these are great to pack for lunch time! I save a lot of plastic bags and tin foil by using these. They’re super easy to clean. My kids can open them by themselves. And they fit nicely in their backpacks and the cabinet when not in use. Totally recommend!

UPDATE- reached out to simple modern customer service directly and they were very quick in getting back to me and issued a replacement. Great customer service.

I purchased this bento box for my son last month, and I was really excited about it. Unfortunately, within just a couple of weeks, the handle completely snapped off and is now unusable. I expected better durability, especially for the price. I reached out to Amazon for support, and they advised me to contact the manufacturer directly however have received no response. Overall, I'm very disappointed with this product and would not recommend it based on my experience.

We bought this for my son for his first year of school. The product is amazing. Very durable and easy to open for smaller kids.

After 3 months of regular use (2x per week) for my kindergarteners lunch and the clasp broke off. It's also not the easiest to wash and reassemble because the lid has a silicone sheet that has to be completely removed to be cleaned. If you don't put that back perfectly in place (which is hard to do), it's hard to close the box completely and I don't think it ends up sealing each compartment on the end. Since ours broke and it has no mechanisms to seal now, it's become an expensive toy/trinket organizer for my daughter in her play room.

It's a birthday gift for my great grandson. He's going to pre school and I wanted something that he liked at his young age. It's well made and will hold alot without leaking. It will clean up in the dishwasher to. Very colorful and not to heavy for him to use.
