    I was unsure if this would work, but I can’t use a window ac unit in my apartment and with the heat wave was desperate for air. This does not work as well as an actual AC unit but I was really surprised at how well it works. When it is 100 degrees outside it brings the temp down enough to be comfortable. It was a little confusing to set up because the instructions don’t specify where to put the ice packs or how the water filling works but it’s not hard to figure out. If you are in a situation where you need ac but don’t have access to an actual ac unit this is worth the money to buy. Also, this unit is way cheaper and quieter than a window ac unit would be. I’m glad I bought this.

    I would not suggest this “air conditioner” at all. If I wanted just a fan, I sure wouldn’t spend over $100 on one, but that’s exactly what this is. A fan that blows air around and nothing more.
    I had just moved to San Diego in the heat of the summer and I was desperate for some kind of relief as the apartment was getting up to 90° in some rooms, but this was a complete waste.
    It was extremely frustrating to put together as the instructions I received made no sense whatsoever. Even the pictures didn’t match the product and I was unsure of how to properly use it to its full efficiency. It required water, and contained packs you could freeze and put in where the water goes but it made absolutely no difference with or without the water or freezer packs.
    If you’re looking for something along the lines of a fancy overpriced fan that blows the room temperature air around, then this is the product for you. If you’re looking for something that actually helps cool down a small room in the heat of the summer, keep looking, this is not it.

    So, it’s understandable that some reviews seem confused about how fill this swamp cooler up with water because the instructions aren’t clear nor complete. It’s simple to load with water. You open the lid on top and pour the water in just about anywhere. The water drains down the 8 holes shown in the pic into a reservoir. When you turn on the cooler it pumps water up into that shelf which holds the ice packets and then waterfalls back down those 8 holes. The ice slowly chills the water as it circulates. It works fairly well and is not very loud. However, it’s pretty small and is sized probably for a bedroom or one car garage. It’s not cooling my 2 car garage as much as I’d hoped.

    So as you can see in the video, I live in California and it's been like a 103 here. The house that I rent has a mini split in the living room it's a small house and it's older so there's no air conditioning in the kitchen or the back bedrooms. I have been using ceiling fans and floor fans constantly for 24/7. I saw the reviews on this and I thought well I'll make a video after I know it works and believe me it works!! I turned off my ceiling fan and the floor fan in my bedroom, and I have this unit in my room, my room is so cooled off in just 1 hour and I have the timer set so I'll see what it does after 4 hours. Make sure when you get those little blue packs that you fill it with water to the max line and you shake it really well and stick it in the freezer. All I can say is wow wow wow this is an amazing little unit that's portable you don't have to put anything in the window and it cools everything off. I can even feel it in the living room and I don't even have the mini split on I have the windows open and it's cool in here very bizarre but this unit is a must-have if you're living in any kind of heat or prepare yourself for next year. I will eventually Buy a couple more because I have a room off my kitchen that has a treadmill that I will put it in there if I'm on the treadmill and I am 63 years old so I have internal Summers too LOL. The office that I work at I'm going to have another one put in there so it stays cool because I live on a storage facility and the office even though it has a window unit it is old and not working very well. I will be purchasing a couple more of these down the road.

    I know now not to believe product reviews when reviews are all good. This is nothing more than expensive fan.. does not blow out. Cold air blows out a little cool air. Just buy yourself a nice big fan..

    Not worth the price. Cheaply made. It's loud. Does not cool a small room. It might cool down a little tiny office cubicle but not a "small room." But in that case it's way to big for that type of setting.. It only helps a little bit and only if the room is already cold but if the room is at 78° fahrenheit or hotter all this fan does is make it SUPER humid and muggy in the room when you use the water feature. & there's no way you'd feel this fan in an outside setting at all.
