The video was helpful with install, but I would add a few pointers.
1. Use spacers to maintain uniform gaps when flipping over. - I tried to just place it and flip it like the video says, but every time it just shifted, putting big gaps between the canvas and frame on one side and zero gap between them on another side. I took one of the foam corners from shipping, sliced them slightly narrower, and cut about 8 pieces. I used these pieces as spacers between the canvas and frame so that when I flipped it, it didn't shift. This may have been an issue simply because my frames were so big (16x32). You can see in my pics the foam corners and how I placed them.
2. Pre-drill all your holes. If you don't, this can cause shifting as well. All of the screws went in much smoother for the holes that I pre-drilled. Also prevents stripping on your screws.
3. You may need to use different screws than provided. If you have to remove them, the quality of the screw was pretty cheap, and I totally stripped mine. Pre-drilling and using spacers (stopping your canvas from shifting) will prevent you from needing to remove them anyway though.
4. There isn't a template for hanging, and I had a triptych 3 frame set. Use a level, tape measure, and a pencil, and make sure to account for everything. One thing I forgot to account for the first time around was the distance from the outside of the frame to the little hook that you use to hang it with on the back.
I think all of these tips will help your install go smoother. All 3 of my canvases now have very uniform gaps and I'm super happy with how this project turned out.
