Overall very happy with these. They slipped off without the pad on but with them on they hang undisturbed.
When I pull on them they stay in place so I think they will be good full.
I do think they can be knocked down if someone pulls or brushes by them. But for this type of mantle I think this is the best thing besides nailing into it.

I hung mine off a smaller curio cabinet and the fit was perfect. It held my Christmas stockings with no issues. The quality is nice. They are larger than I thought, which I was pleased with!

The angle of the piece that goes on the top of the shelf needs to be open more. Doesn't fit flat so it wants to slide off. Comes withdouble stick tape but angle is less than 90 so tape doesn't touch shelf enough to stick. Also needs to be longer piece for the part that sits on the shelf. The weight makes it slide off too easily

I have a very wide, solid wood mantle which eliminates curved or swirled holders as they won’t stay on the mantle. For this reason these holders are perfect. Plus the simple black appearance is classy. However, the top part of the bracket that actually sits on the top of the mantle is waaaay too short and light weight. Even after attaching the foam piece which is supposed to help grip the mantle, the bracket barely stays on the mantle As is, the stocking needs to be empty and the brackets definitely would not hold garland or lights. I sat my mantle decorations on top of the top bracket to help hold them on. These would be perfect if the company adds at least 2-3 inches in length to the top bracket and definitely makes the top of the bracket much weightier. However, I will use these again next year after my husband makes these adjustments as I love the appearance.
