after talking to the seller> not Amazon… the seller heard my concerns and instantly acted upon resolve in the issue. Now I definitely recommend purchasing the iron from this seller because if you have any issues, they will resolve them no problem. I don’t wanna say the seller in the name but I do wanna say thank you for everything your help and your great customer service.

    (Old Review)
I don’t really I like this iron overall it has pros and cons for sure the pros is it feel well made and smooth when ironing. It heats up fast and not heavy. The cons outweigh the pros.. The steam feature is horrible in my opinion because you can only use it for a couple quick spurts. After you press it maybe three times then it stopped working till it reset.. it seems like the automatic shut off feature is too often and cool down when not expected or need it. The biggest con is it’s too hard to see how much water you are adding. If you overfill with water in which I’m sure you will the iron leaks water and doesn’t work properly. You have to often pour the water out often because you’ll overfill it. I’m just not a fan of this item. I don’t recommend purchasing this iron until they fix the window first. I really wish I returned this iron but I really tried to make myself like it because I like the color and the weight of it but it’s really not much more than I like about it really. I waited past 30 the window to return it to Amazon and I honestly regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works with tap water
Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2022
The steam iron is about 3 pounds (1.36 kg), so it doesn’t feel heavy to me. Reading the manual, I could quickly figure out how to use the iron. However, it didn’t provide a picture or diagram on how to open the water tank. It said to put it on horizontal, or upright, position and then fill the tank to max level. It didn't mention how to open the tank. However, I found a not very visible measuring cup icon on the water tank cover. I first tried to slide the cover upwards but then realized I had to grab the slightly protruding edge near the spray nozzle and then lift towards me. From there, I didn’t encounter any further complications except that the tank is not clear, hence the max level line is not very useful to me as I can’t see any water through it. I had to refer to the manual to find out the maximum volume 450 ml. The included measuring cup has 4 level lines in 50 ml increments, from 50 to 200 ml. So, I filled it twice 200 and once 50 ml.

Having the tank filled and closed, I plugged in the iron and the red power indicator light below the handle turned on immediately. The temperature control knob made clicking noises while turning. I set the temperature to Wool. When the iron reached a set temperature, a blue thermostat indicator light on top of the handle turned off automatically. While holding the iron, I could set the steam level with my thumb and used my thumb to press the spray nozzle as well. There’s also a steam burst button which I could press with my index finger while holding the iron. But I had to be careful not to hold the steam burst button too long, or it began to leak from the sole plate.

I also almost made the mistake of using reverse osmosis filtered water to prevent scale build-up. My former steam iron required distilled or filtered water, so I thought that would be the case here, too. It said even in the beginning to use distilled water if my tap water is hard. Yet, I have the habit to thoroughly read manuals and user guides and I discovered a contradiction to that advice a bit further in the manual. It added that the steam iron has an Anti-Calc System that makes using tap water a requirement as distilled or demineralized water would actually change the chemical properties of the anti-calc filter and damage it. There’s a permanent resin filter in the water tank according to the manual that also prevents scale from forming. I assume that part of using distilled water if hard water is present is a mistake. Otherwise, why would the manual have told me so much about an Anti-Calc System that makes distilled water not only obsolete but forbidden. My best bet is to avoid distilled or demineralized water.

To another topic: When ironing delicates, I didn’t have to worry about dripping water when steam runs out as the steam iron also has an Anti-Drip System. It prevented water drops from vaporizing and leaving water stains on delicate clothing like my silk blouses. To get rid of mineral build-up, I used the Auto-Clean function every other week. For that, I had to fill the tank to maximum level, set steam level to zero (no steam) and set the thermostat knob to the highest setting. Then I plugged in the iron and waited for the power indicator light to turn off. Then I set to the lowest temperature and unplug the iron. Over the sink, I pressed and hold the Auto-Clean button and shook it back and forth to release any impurities that accumulated. It took roughly 40 seconds until self-cleaning was done. I’d say it works as I still can’t see any buildup on the sole plate for the two months I’ve been using it.

One important safety feature for me is that the iron turns itself off after 15 minutes of inactivity in upright position and 30 seconds in horizontal position. To turn it on again, I just have to move it back and forth on fabric. I can also use the iron to steam out creases and wrinkles on my curtains, as it allows me to apply bursts of steam when the iron is n a vertical position.

To store my iron, I let it cool down and empty any remaining water. I always leave it upright on its heel rest.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good price, lots of steam...a bit uncomfortable to use
Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2024
Overall good. Lots of stream, iron is nice and hot, water reservoir is big (1.5 litre)

BUT...cannot set temp, iron handle not too comfortable. On the handle, i wish it were more ergonomic as it becomes uncomfortable after an hour+ use.

For a little more, I've used the Rowena as it has better overall performance and comfort.

I purchased this product and it has never worked. Unfortunately I did not purchase any protection so I’ve literally been sitting on this expensive purchase for years. I really like how streamlines it was and was excited for using the steam feature only to be disappointed in the overall product and design and ultimately the quality. I like you have not not any luck in contacting the manufacturer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unnecessarily complicated
Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2024
I gifted this iron to my parents, and am already thinking of exchanging it out for something more user friendly. If comparing to my Rowenta steam station, I give this 3 stars. I think the feature I hate the most is the continuous steam trigger. It is very easy to switch that on while pressing the steam button, so easy, that you actually have to make an effort to not accidentally switch it on if you don’t want continuous steam. The water input opening is in an awkward location, facing away from you, so that you have to fully turn the station to refill so that you can see what you’re doing. Again, just comparing to my Rowenta which has the water-filling opening on the side, so that I never have to move station itself. I think that having two buttons for the same exact purpose (the power button on the station and the button on top of the iron) is pointless. Finally, when you long hold the power button to switch it off, it starts blinking rather than actually turning its light off, which is annoying. I’m giving it credit for its steam, but everything else on this iron needs some improvement.
