Just received, not sure of battery life, no rating but used in a lantern for cosmetic effect, on table for accent lighting and on display. Loved the ease and effectiveness of the lights.

I have so many fairly lights in hand. They are so useful and such a great pop of light where it’s needed. We used these underneath my daughter’s cake stand and it added such a beautiful,
warm, golden glow. These are fun and durable. Always be sure to take time to wrap them back up onto a small piece of cardboard to prevent tangles so you can use them again and again. The timer is useful so you don’t burn thru button batteries.

The batteries runs down even if the unit is off. You have to leave the contact slip of plastic in until just before using the lights. Paperwork should indicate they are on, light or no light from the minute you pull the contact strip. This makes it very difficult to prepare a table setting ahead of time, especially when traveling to a remote location. Had I not checked them 4 weeks before the wedding (for the second time) I would not have known NONE of them worked. The one star is for the fact that they are very pretty lit, the remote feature is great but you have to wait until the morning of the event to put any displays together and if you plan to use over say the holidays, you better have a but load of batteries on hand as each strand takes two batteries. I bought a total of 6 packs and because 4 packs were bought outside of the return period I am now stuck with them. Very Disappointed!. I should have read the reviews!

We ordered a set of really cool paper stars, and I wanted to find remote control lights to go in them. These seemed absolutely perfect, because they're much lighter weigh than those that take 2 AAA batteries and do not have a remote. They lit up our stars perfectly, and we enjoyed 5 nights of having them on for 2 hours each night. On the 6th night, 2 of them did not come on at all because the batteries were dead. The third one came on, but only stayed on for about 30 minutes.
So if you're looking for some very cool, lightweight, remote control fairy lights, these are great for short term use. If, like us, you're creating a cozy space that you can enjoy on a regular basis without having to crawl around and turn battery packs on and off every night, these are not going to last long term. I was very optimistically hoping to get at least 2 or 3 weeks out of them, as I can't imagine that they draw much power. 5 days was a disappointment. Even with the extra batteries, that's only about a week and a half.
