EDITED/ Bought these for our outdoor deck. We live remote.I used a timer so the lights went on at 9pm and off at 6am.We mounted the lights right under the top hand rails and stair hand rails. After a couple of months the last 1ft before the plug got moisture in it. The lights stopped working and it was past the return date. I was so disappointed! As soon as I posted my previous negative review the seller contacted me asking how they could rectify the problem.I opted for new lights. My hubby used a bit of silicone to seal the control box and the cord that connects to the new rope lights to avoid future problems with moisture! Great customer service and I love these lights!

They are very effective on my back deck. They are a light warm white light. 150 feet long, I have hooks that hold the lights in position and only needed the one length.

We ordered 7 units of these lights because of the price point and the discount offered. They arrived in good condition and were easy to install around our fence line. The only drawback is that in two of the 150 foot sections, there is a 20 foot section where the light patterns do not work consistently. This is when we set it to "twinkle flash. " But the lights all work on the other functions. Overall, we are pleased with the product and would order it again.
