5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly as promised

Loved the rope lights. Perfect lighting. I wanted something brighter for inside my motorhome. They are perfect. I’m very happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy install

I bought these for the hotel I manage, to wrap around the palm trees. I had other lights up before the burnt out pretty quickly. These are nice because they're rope lights so they're basically weatherproof. They come with these brackets that make it super easy to install. They connect which is nice if you have a really tall tree that you have to cover. Overall they're just really pretty as you enter my hotel

5.0 out of 5 stars Bright!!

I purchased the warm white to go around our deck to replace 14 year old rope lights that had seen better days.

Pro:
Bright!
Love the warm white color temp. A little less warm than some, close to what I would call “neutral white”
Easy to install. Slightly lighter, thinner, more compliant tubing than previous lights, but still seems plenty tough.

Con:
Bright :)

These are much brighter than anticipated. Were the old ones this bright when they were new? Possibly. I expect that they will calm down in time as the led’s lumen maintenance curve does its thing. For now, I have the brightest backyard in the neighborhood.

Update: I added a dimmer, it works great with these string lights. The specific dimmer is “BN-LINK Smart Dimmer Plug, WiFi Outdoor Dimmer”, though I expect they would work with most dimmers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Rope Lights, but Room for Improvement
Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2024
I purchased these rope lights, and overall, they worked well for my needs. They provide a nice, warm glow and were easy to install. I used them to decorate my outdoor space, and they held up well even in light weather conditions. The flexibility of the lights made them great for wrapping around posts and other areas.

However, I feel like they could be a bit brighter, and the plastic casing seems a little thin, which might affect long-term durability. For the price, they’re a solid option, but I believe there’s room for improvement.

Overall, I would rate them a 3.5 out of 5. Decent for casual use, but not exceptional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the cooler warm white!

Just installed, so far love them, particularly that they are a cool warm white and not yellow. Wish they had different levels of brightness as I found them to be a bit bright for my dark neighborhood, so I bought a wifi timer with dimmer, and am very happy with them so far…I bought enough to cover a 1/4 acre of fence so I hope they last a few years anyways! Easy to unravel. The clips dont look like they’d last long esp outdoors, but I always use cable hooks or zip ties anyways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and nice color

We used these lights to wrap around the ceiling of our gazebo outside when our old incandescent set died. I wanted something mellow like our old ones, leaning more towards a lower (yellowish) color temperature. These are a little colder (more white) than I liked but they generally are nice. We'll see how durable they are as the longevity promise of LEDs seems to be a bit spotty. Our previous incandescent rope lights lasted about 15 years. I'm hoping for similar mileage from these.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lot of Light for Less For About the Same Wattage as Two LED Bulbs
Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2023
I got the idea for year round rope lights while I was enjoying the 12 Foot Sting of LED Christmas Lights over our front porch. I was impressed with how much light they put out. They lit the entire 5'x16' porch and also added drama to the stone facade of our house. And I wouldn't have to mow around them like with up lights. I first installed some rope lights around the side porch using a 16 foot string. I just used the c-clip hangers that came with the set. I used paint of the same color as the house trim to hide the LED that shone through voids in the molding and drip edge. Under the porch, I taped off 1/2 inch strip pointing straight down to illuminate the door locks and against the wall for drama, then painted the side and top of the rope light. The light is deliberately muted to avoid light pollution to my neighbors. A solar light is mounted nearby and is aimed to come on when my car door is opened.
For the front of the house I used (2) 25 foot sections. The outlet for both is right in the middle. Each set wraps around the sides by 5 feet, and are installed to reduce light pollution to both neighbors. I mounted the 25 foot lights in a plastic holder. I used "24 Pcs 39 3/8" x 9/16" x 9/16" Channel PVC Light Mounting Track" and it was more than enough for 66 feet of rope LED light. The channel was less than $40 and 66 feet of rope light was about $55, so the whole project with screws, paint, gorilla tape and watt meter was less than $150 dollars. My $27 Poniie PN2000 Plug-in Kilowatt Electricity Usage Monitor shows that the 25' LED Rope uses about 9.5 watt and the 16' rope uses about 6 watts. So my rope lights illuminate the entire front and mute light down the side for 25 watts. My old 60 watt and 75 equivalents (9 and 13) were 22 watts for two flood style lamps. The channel has thee sides. I found that I could paint the back side of the channel for a muted effect and less glare on the painted molding. I have solar gooseneck lights on my garage, and several Bell and Howell solar spot lights. So, the 25 watts of rope light and two 13 watt motion only LED spots in my rear drive are the only outside lights my electric company has to provide power to. Some of my rope light stayed up an some came down within minutes. I dotted the rope light every foot or so with caulk and it stayed. It will also be pretty easy to swap out the rope light for when I desire a product upgrade.
