Big fan of the Dreo. This is a must have product. I waited 3 weeks to submit review b/c I had to be happy with this fan. All I can say is this tower fan by Dreo is super quiet, and I am extremely pleased with air flow. The Dreo has 6 levels of air speed and I have never had to go above level 3. I have a one bedroom apt, and air conditioner works fine but the point I am trying to make is I use my Dreo more than the AC. I keep fan in my bedroom and I can turn off AC and fan cools room, room temperature is great. No complaints. Great price and great product. Final comments: I suppose if you have a large house then 2 or 3 of these might be a great addition, ditto for large apartment, but for me—-my Dreo keeps me comfortable in my 1 bedroom. Also there are two models out there I chose model# DR-HTF001, the other model is more expensive etc. Assembly was easy ( 15-20 minutes ) batteries are supplied for remote control. Buy this product!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Almost Wish I Needed More Fans!

I bought this fan to replace an older tower fan that got knocked over one too many times. That was a bummer, but man, what a blessing in disguise! I LOVE this Dreo Smart Tower Fan WiFi Voice Control fan! So easy to set up, the only assembly is the base, which does not require any tools or screws - just put the two sides of the base together, line it up with the bottom of the fan and turn clockwise - super easy.

I got the WiFi version that works with my Alexa - downloading the app, syncing it with my wifi and linking with Alexa was very simple. I'm not crazy with having another app on my phone, but it is necessary to use the smart functions. The remote is attractive, intuitive (no guesswork what the buttons mean) and a good size...not too small and cheap looking, not too big and ridiculous. Fits perfectly in the back (handle), so it's available for me in case my Alexa or wifi goes out for some reason. I might stick some velcro or something on it to keep it in place if I move the fan and forget the remote is there.

The air moves nicely, even at lower levels. Sitting 10 ft away, I've got a really nice breeze on level 2. It's almost silent on levels 1 and 2. Level 3 starts to get a little audible...about the same as my air purifier, which is very quiet. Level 6 is obviously louder, but not "noisy." If you have it at level 6, don't have any loose papers in the airflow's path or you'll be chasing them around the room! Almost feels like an old Maxell commercial, if you're old enough to remember that!

Man, I like this fan so much, I almost wish I needed more. I initially thought the price was a little high, but its design, functionality, ease of setup, ease of use make it totally worth every bit.

Dreo - if you're listening - Well Done!

Although not perfectly silent this circulating fan system is much quieter than the other fans we've tried over the years. We have no trouble sleeping through the night with this fan running 24/7. We bought two of them, one for the Master bedroom and one for our front hall. We did this as an experiment to try and improve the circulation of cooled air in our house. We live in an area where air conditioning is not required and thus most houses don't have forced air systems optimized to move cold air, relying on the natural rising of hot air, and thus having the air plenums come up through the floors rather than through vents high on the walls or in the ceiling. We added air conditioning to our system about 20 years ago and experimented with a few fans in the Summer to try and get the cold air coming up through the floor moved up higher into the rooms we occupy. All the commercial systems we investigated to apply over a vent to push air up turned out to be too noisy to sleep with. So this year I decided to try something different and in researching different fan systems I ran into this design. We put them in more than 6 weeks ago and the results have been excellent. They move a lot of air in a rather broad swath and at a moderate to low noise level. For the front hall we placed a unit next to one of the floor vents and put it in the 90 degree sweep mode and its been running full time ever since with no issues. We placed the second unit in the master bedroom, also in 90 degree sweep mode, next to a vent and it, too, does a great job of lifting the cooled air higher into the room and spreading it throughout.
These units have a prominent display of the current temperature easy to read from across a room.
They have proved to be very reliable so far running 24/7.
The manual provided with the units is marginal though. It talks about the automatic mode of fan control which one might think had something to do with managing fan speed based on prevailing temperature but it has no explanation of what the rules are that the automatic mode is based on, making a vague reference to it having an algorithm. And whatever the algorithm is, in our application seems to have no effect since we only very rarely see the fan speed change. It typically runs at its highest speed all the time.
But as I said, the fan is quiet enough to sleep through, moves a large volume of air across a broad range, and is mindful of a cool breeze outdoors as it quietly moves side to side.
The remote control is handy when you have the fan moving back and forth as it allows you to set things while the fan is operating. But the symbols they use are not the best. But we really don't use the remote but for intial setup - and since then it's been flawless.
I liked the fact that the base, and therefore the power cord, can be set to one of 4 positions when installing onto the unit making it easy to keep the power cord relatively hidden and away from your feet when walking by the unit.
I've been using a Honeywell T9 thermostat for over a year now and we just got our July air conditioning usage e-mail report for this July compared to last July. And in that comparison it appears we've reduced our air conditioning usage nearly 40% over last year, in part due to these fans, in part due to 1 degree higher set points which we've found to be just as comfortable thaks to the new air circulation, and in part dealing with this years 1 degree lower average high thanks to the fire smoke from California and parts West of us. So I can't say the fans are responsible for all of that but we're convinced they are a big component of that savings because of how they've improved the airflow generally on the main floor of the house.
Although too early to judge overall reliability, the unit appears well made, although largely plastic, and it functions as needed, so I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a nice fan only if you have AC
Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2024
So my room has been going through trails and errors since it’s decent size. My room has carpet and I was using 2 mini fans and a large lasko stand fan to combat the heat. It didn’t work . So I decided to buy this fan. It worked great at night when the sun is down and the heat is at bay. But when the sun was up and out my fans didn’t stand a chance. So I decided to finally invest and get an AC. There’s just no way I can live for weeks and months in a hot room. When my AC arrived it was the perfect combination. I didn’t have to have multiple fans running. It’s just my AC and this fan on. It doesn’t take much space. The air flow is fine. Not loud. The power isn’t strong like a lasko stand fan but since the AC is on it doesn’t have to produce that much power. The remote is easy to use once you read the manual. The oscillation is good but if I want a steady flow of air I’d rather not have it on oscillation. The weight of it isn’t heavy you can easily transfer it to your room . And the installation is pretty simple. Just follow the instructions step by step. After that you’re all set ! Enjoy the fan !
