I love these hanging curtain lights - I live in a northern city where the winters bring very short days, with long, dark nights and adding these strings of purple lights to my living space has brightened and enlivened my nights. For such a small package, the LEDs on these strings are bright, and have lasted quite a bit longer than I had anticipated. I leave them on all the time, and they don't seem to add more than pennies to my electric bill. They are long enough that they cover nearly the entire wall of a small bedroom, and reach from the ceiling to the floor. The wiring is wound in tight circles when the curtain lights arrive for convenience, and the shape will slowly become more straight as gravity takes effect. This is my second set of curtain lights, my first order went dark after a year of constant, 24/7 use, which to me, for the price is more than adequate. The remote works well, but I have rarely used it, since I leave my curtain lights on continually. The eight settings programmed into the remote offer a variety of lighting modes, such as steady light, fast blinking, slow blinking, alternating, or waves, glittering, etc. There is also a dimmer option, with a simple higher or lower button. The head of the remote has an ON and OFF switch, as well as a timer.
Be Aware: The way these lights are packaged for shipping, the individual strands come tied in circles, and although I have always installed them on my own, it would be easier to have a helping hand, since the wire has a tendency to snarl. I had this happen with one strand, and after that I unfurled the others with more care, and had no problems. Just a thought . . .

These lights are brilliant in our Halloween decorated window. Super easy to hang; you put up the hooks, & just unwind each light strand and let it fall! I really love all the settings, and that I can dim them or make them super bright. Also, these are true purple. I highly recommend.

First set took two years of heavy use and stopped working. For the price, I’d say we got our money’s worth. I do wish the light strings would be straighter when hanging.

I have the lights up in my bedroom window. My room is pretty much dedicated to the Phoenix Mercury WNBA team. Purple being key. Put them up for Halloween but will stay up now until they die ????

love love love this. It was for a niece that needed some lighting that was bright. this so fit the picture and was perfect. It does have the UBS port so no batteries which is a bonus.

SOME Lights with no box. Major slacking on items and delivery time. No idea if the lights work because I can’t use them. NO COMPONENTS INCLUDES AND ONE STRING OF LIGHT.

I wanted warm white lights that would twinkle (each light turns on and off but not all at the same time), and these lights are not them. The reviews said the white is very cool, so I thought I might be able to use the yellow... No.

The light functions are very limited. There are 4 functions that only work with preset colors: switch through ALL the colors; slow fade through ALL the colors; slow blink white; and cycle through red-green-blue. White is not even a very cool white, it is blue, so really you can only slow blink blue. If you want the yellow to blink, it won't.

Each light is very visibly made up of red, green, and blue LEDs, and you can see all the colors in there. Depending on what angle you're looking at each light from, each light may look a different color. Only the red, green, and blue colors are uniform.

The blue and green colors are more reliable for color, so for example, when using purple, some lights look bluer and some look redder but they do all look purplish, and I think having the variation is kind of nice. The white is blue, and the yellow is green. We have settled on using orange, which turns out to be a mix of mostly light green with some warm white, pale orange and pink lights. Some strands are greener and some are redder. If they would twinkle I would like them a lot.

I'm not sure how long they will last, they seem to be getting greener all the time. When we first tested the lights, I thought we could use the yellow color although it was a little green, but by the time we got the lights strung, the yellow was all the way green. The orange seems to be getting greener also. I'm not sure what going on there, since the red, green, and blue all seem to be working fine individually.
